Building a blog network and using thumblogger?

I'm working on a blog network that will have about 30-50 blogs in it. All on their own domain. I write them all. I thought about making 20 or so thumbblogger blogs. I would submit them to the blog directories. I would also link back to my blog hub from the thumblogger blogs. This will probably be a toplist or something. I thought about having the blogs for the thumbblogger ones about 50 words each. Would the directories accept this few words? Is there a limit to how few words you can use? From an SEO stand point does it make sense to build the thumbblogger blogs? They wouldn't take much time at all. It would be super easy to do. Also, would each link back to my hub be good for SEO?

This is assuming that thumblogger allows more than one blog. Or another free service does.

I've read where it is sometimes easier to get a good google pr faster. If that makes sense. It is the weekend after all :) I use blog post builder and doing blogs is so much easier with it.

I have a directory and I woudn't accept such a small blog, use sposnor's feeds

also Google loves thumblogger blogs IMO, just make sure you semi-automate them, if you're going to spend hours on each blog then use your own domains
