Yes, regularly and with some of these threads here that I have read, that is a brave question! I think most people will start if they experience something bad like jail, or a illness to themselves or family! Which is sad!

i just try to remain mentally stable always. sometimes theres some serious shit going on in my life and i really just try to keep my head up high. my family was never religious, i don't know a single thing about any religion lol i am kind of thankful for that though.

Religion is a control mechanism and a damn good one at that. It makes people do as they're damn told to and that means killing kids, toppling societies, raping etc etc etc.

People of real faith have had a personal experience with their god that provided them with the faith that God exists. Those that have not had this experience will never have real faith.

There is an old military saying...there are not any atheists in a foxhole when under fire.

I know a person that was shot 13 times by a German machine gunner during the second world war. They were all upper body hits including his face. He survived the incident and had about two years of reconstuctive surgery afterwards. He had a personal experience with his God during this period of time and has been a man of real faith ever since.

BTW...many people of faith do not necessarily attend church or have a fundamentalist belief in the bible. They do not necessarily correlate.

if you have faith in a god or gods that normaly means you subscribe to a religious order of some kind ie christianity judism budism muslim hindu etc etc it all amounts to the same thing. eaven if you dont subscribe ie dont visit a place of worship and still have faith it still makes you a hypocrite to sell or be involved in the porn industry.

On an intellectual level I don't believe in God (particularly not a big-man-in-the-sky God, which seems to be the only kind most atheists know how to argue about), nor do I subscribe to the narrow-minded views of organized religion(s) so you simpletons can just stick your bullshit accusations of hypocrisy straight up your ass.

BUT.

I do find myself praying and gaining solace & inspiration from it. It's partly out the memory of childhood faith, but mostly I just refer to it as suspension of disbelief, and for me it makes the world a better place. It makes movies worth watching, books worth reading, and praying a transcendental experience. If you can't/don't want to do it, maybe you just don't have enough imagination. I like living in a land of partial make-believe! I enjoy a lot of things that different religions have to offer and embracing whatever makes life more magical and good.

Not everyone who believes in "God" thinks that "God" has a problem with sex and/or porn. Grow a brain, you dolt.

Indeed most people that claim to have faith in god usually belong to an organized religion...but it does not mean that they have real faith. Real faith in god does not have anything to do with porn...but indeed most...if not all...organized religions do not approve of porn. There are people that attend church regularly that are not a member of any organized religion and may...or may not...have real faith...and may...or may not...have any particular opinion regarding "porn". There are people that are members of an organized religion that may...or may not...have real faith...and may...or may not...have any particular opinion regarding "porn"...even though the church they are a member of may have. i do, sometimes.. a couple of times i find it hard to pray, specially when my work is not accepted by the church..

but who cares.. not all of them are saints anyway..

When your kid is lying on an operating table or your mother is waiting for a complicated surgery....what do you do? Do you tell them to get ready to kiss it all goodbye? Or do you have faith? Maybe you don't drop down on your knees and pray, but do you just wander around like everything is going to be ok? Do you feel like it will make you a big pussy to hope they survive?

If all "God" is is an abstract that helps make you feel a little better or keeps you from bashing someone in the face and stealing their purse....then what the fuck is wrong with that?

Nothing is wrong with that, the problem is that a lot of ppl tend to be a little too faithful and they have a wrong understanding of what the bible or their own religion's book actually says.
They rely so much in something so unlikely like the existence of a God that they became the perfect target of organized religions and fanatic movements.
