WHOOOOO HOOOOO! Part of me is happy that the 2008 Cybernet Expo has come and gone and part of me misses it already. The relief of getting an entire trade show off your plate is pretty amazing to say the least and judging by all of the positive feedback we?ve received on and off the boards, I would have to unabashedly say that the show proved to be a big success. Hell, at the very least someone is having fun in practically every picture I?ve seen so that should account for something.

I?m not big on shout outs cuz god knows it?s hard to find the time for them and it?s taken me two friggen days on and off revisiting this, and then there is always the possibility of leaving someone out accidentally so please spank me if you feel slighted in any way shape or form. With the industry suffering a bit here and there and proving that we might not actually be recession-proof after all, I think it?s high time a whole lotta love went out. This was a feel good show. Alright? before this turns into a ?War and Peace? length post (too late), here goes?

It?s like putting together a big puzzle. I think our educational program delivered the goods big time as always and I owe a debt of gratitude to all of the professionals who took the time out to share their knowledge to what was more often than not, a packed conference room.

And of course, the hotel. Such a damn pleasure working with the Golden Gateway. Pleasant, professional, lenient, responsible, attentive? on it goes. Makes a WORLD of difference when a place that can make or break you has your best interests in mind and does everything they can to accommodate. Imagine that! And yes we will work on the bar and room service hours for next year.

When I looked around and saw how much fun everyone was having at the Red Devil Lounge? I didn?t know if I wanted to cry or shit myself. So I took the safe route and drank and danced with April from AEBN and HoneLynn instead.

Diane Duke ? The FSC luncheon was awesome. Really just kicked ass to see large groups of every walk of life in our biz sitting in circles and hashing stuff out.

You often tell me you couldn?t do what I do in this biz? well, that goes double the other way around. No? triple. Your work on the website, dealing with the hotel in every facet, contracts, numbers, payouts, vendors, temps, the show guide? the list goes on. You kicked serious ass.

- The San Francisco airport for confiscating my fuckin 12-year old bottle of single malt scotch STILL IN THE BOX. Yeah I blame the terrorists and it was stupid of me to try I guess. And the guy who confiscated it felt really bad it seemed. I just only hope he respected my wishes and alerted a few maintenance guys as to which garbage can to raid later that day so that at least SOMEONE could enjoy the bottle.
- The people who canceled their hotel rooms at the last possible minute who knew well in advance that they weren?t coming. That is kinda rude.
- The few crashers at the show who didn?t feel it necessary to buy a badge and respect 10 months of our hard work. C?mon folks. That is stealing IMO.

How you actually pulled off having so many men wear a wristband for three days that said " Sell SHEMALES" from Groobybucks is something I am still scratching my head over.

For one, no one ever asked to see the fuckin wristband, they just wanted the badge.

And SECOND, The fuckin black trolleycar driver looked at my wrist and started lookin at me all weird. He was one funny guy, I will now forever refer to him as

"Trolley Murphy"


I didn't even look at the wristband when you put it on me, so u can imagine the horror when he pointed out.

As for SF, yeah man I can't think of a better place for the show. Not only is the city hospitable to the adult business and the weather nice and moderate for June but it's also just a kick ass city to visit. I heard from a lot of people who either came early or stayed an extra day just to see the city, and that's exactly what we like to hear. We're almost certain at this point that we'll be back in SF for June of next year. Too much went right to do otherwise.
