Firefox problems... is it just me?

Is it just me or does anyone elses firefox stop playing sound from flash videos randomly?

I also noticed that sometimes i can't load any type of streaming flash video... i have to close the browser and re-open it... youtube loads like the first 2 seconds of a vid and then just stops.

pretty annoying

Yeah I have the same issue. I always have to load the videos in IE since I always have too many tabs open to close. VERY annoying.

pornguy 06-18-2008 09:54 PM

Ok for me so far, but I have not watched many vids since I upgraded.

I have this problem also, seemed to start with an update a few months back.

rock-reed 06-18-2008 10:57 PM

I also have this problem.

It annoys me to no-end.

Maybe Firefox3 will have fixed it?

I too have to load up any streaming flash video in Internet Explorer.

sometimes u need to scroll down to put the top of the flash window at the very top of page visible i find.

Deej 06-18-2008 10:58 PM

this new firefox 3 has only given me one issue...

the top menu bar is gone when i maximize my browser...

its only happened once or twice, but its quite annoying when it happens...

tiger 06-18-2008 11:01 PM

Well the upgrade to 3 fuxored my bookmarks. Randomly deleted and moved some of my bookmarks.

Have had a problem for a long time now with flash videos stopping after the browser has been open for a while. Have to close the browser or reboot to get it work again. Upgrade to version 3 didn't fix it.

SayWhut 06-18-2008 11:07 PM

Yeah I noticed that video issue with FF2. I'm guessing it was an Adobe/Mozilla glitch.

It is probably caused by the swfobject script that all websites have to have nowadays thanks to the retards at Microsoft with their crappy IE7 for flash videos to be compatible on all browsers.

Also, on FF3 the new thread and post reply buttons just above the quick reply box are shifted to the left. I don't think this is a FF3 issue, just the coders of gfy fault .......

FF3 has improved it's CSS compability, so I doubt it would work backwords.

http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs...s_in_Firefox_3

These bugs can be common due to IE's incompetent nature.

StaceyJo 06-18-2008 11:08 PM

Its playing here with me too and I dont see any problems... and I like better firefox than IE.

GCN 06-19-2008 06:58 PM

i got the same problem :(

stickyfingerz 06-19-2008 07:04 PM

I CANNOT get cookies to work right with it. Did same thing in the beta. Ive run it as administrator too thought it could of been vista causing it, but nope. All options are set right, just everytime I restart FF have to re-enter users and pw for forums etc. I might have to try out the opera thing for awhile sigh..

TheSenator 06-19-2008 07:08 PM

Ads from Black Ads and AVN Ads are showing up all fucked up.

stickyfingerz 06-19-2008 07:09 PM

On opera now.. we'll see... :(

Ash1 06-19-2008 07:11 PM

yah the flash video playback bug has existed for a few months now, you can google around and find a few possible solutions, your best bet is finding an archived version of flash to downgrade to.
