Do you work as hard as you did two years ago?

Seriously. Do you?

I see thread after thread about bad sales. I'm always left wondering, are you working as hard? Are you working harder? Are you working smarter? Are you still working? Do you actually work 40 hour weeks... or more?

I've talked to a few of the people that have posted about bad sales and one common denominator seems to be... they are working less. Especially now that summer has hit.

This industry provides an opportunity that is very difficult to find elsewhere. Such a low barrier of entry. So many different options. So many different traffic paths. So many different products to promote. So many opportunities to produce your own product.

All I know is... it sure beats flipping burgers.

Create more traffic. Try something new. Create your own product. Get down to it. Work your ass off. This is not Armageddon... it's a wake-up call. You must work. You must innovate. You must attempt.

*My rant for the day...

I work when I want to, as I do not have to work at all it's just an option:)

I like interesting clients that enjoy quality work.
Most others I refer out to other guys.

Nice rant.

I work harder. And smarter.

And I earn MUCH more than 2 years ago.

But I STILL notice decreasing ratios. It's getting tougher and tougher to make a sale.

:2 cents:

Good rant, work hard, play harder.

Yes I DO!

It's in my nature! I have a hard time relaxing. Yeah I take a lot of trips, but I'm always doing something. If it's not in the businesses I'm in now, it's starting new one's!

This is the quote I choose to use in another board under my sig, and I'm a firm believer of it.

"There's money to be made in every industry, just gotta hussle!"

I am working much harder these days, and am making more and more every month.

jact 06-19-2008 02:13 PM

I'm working much smarter then I was 2 years ago to be sure, but then, I was in a much different position 2 years ago then I am today. My people are also working much smarter then they were 2 years ago.

This thread reminds me of the song:
She works hard for the money
so hard for it honey
she works hard for the money
so you better treat her right

2 years ago I was spending time looking up crap on real estate, going to tax lien sales, getting perc tests, land surveys, and spending time in lawyer's offices with closings, etc. I've been slacking off seriously over the last year doing some traveling and being sick, lol and I don't plan on selling anything else I have for quite some time and the tax lien sales are shit. That's one of the reasons I'm thinking of buying the tanning salon - boredom, lol. I need to get back to work!!

(actually I just want to be able to tan for FREEEEEEEE!)

I work harder and smarter. My income is also higher. This is not my main job, is the job i like more and is relaxing me.
My main job is elevators engineering and i like it. But is a big headache. The adult business is a profitable relaxing hobby. I still spend more than i get because i like this job. I hope very soon to increase my income from this and leave the engineering. But it's hard because it is a well paid job.

Hey now, the question was "do you work as hard", he didn't specify amounts.

See you at Xbiz? I've got time to kill :1orglaugh
