Got to listen to Queenryche for the first time ever tonight

Maybe it's partly also my nostalgic attitude to most of the late 80's and early 90's rock music, but I have to admit I enjoy that.

The only song I knew before was the "Silent lucidity" which was their biggest hit I suppose, but after i heard their original "operation mind crime (1988)" and still listening to "Empire (1990)" I find myself being hardly being able to criticize.

Original, powerful compositions, prog rock moments, interesting arrangements, great singing by Geoff Tate, frequent intros to make the music more conceptual.

Well yet another band I finally got to and that is going to be explored properly.

This pic is very 80's:

operation mind crime was a good album so was Empire.. I listened to them in my hair band wanna be a rock star guitarist high school days.

I got really fucking drunk and listened to my Empire CD all the way through on... whatever the day was where I came here and entirely failed to start shit with random people.

P.S. Jet City Woman, damn it. It deserves play.

I saw them on tour for Empire. It was the most amazing show I have ever been to. It was less about the music itself and more about a full visual and audio experience.

I love these guys. Check out The Warning it is an amazing record.

I saw them twice. the first time sucked bad because the sound mix was so bad you couldn't understand a word Tate said or sang. The second time was in a smaller venue and they were amazing.

Yeah its kinda weird how the LA music Industry has fucked everything up so bad.
It is no wonder big Music labels are floundering.

They sign nothing but shit for brains wanna be musicians and in most cases it's some puke stain of a rapper or R&B singer twit with no talent these days and expect big money... It worked for a while and these days the Labels are relying on old bands for the brunt of income.
