.mobi shouldnt all adult sites have .mobi alternatives?

.mobi shouldnt all adult sites have .mobi alternatives?

I invested some money in .mobi domains, google has a huge share of the business
so they know why they invested, they have their own mobile operational system
the internet is going mobile that is for sure, we will all have
small laptops as cell phones soon, browsing porn on our mobiles

Technology has already outstripped .mobi as even being necessary.

The net's regulator, Icann, voted unanimously to relax the strict rules on TLD's, thus rendering .mobi kinda obsolete.

.mobile or .cell better anyway:2 cents:

.mobi = useless :2 cents:

Google is introducing something interesting that could make mobi important, on their mobile search a user can have the option to just search results from .mobi sites.

.mobi seems like a useless tld to me.

Even more useless now with the new rules.

Finding content based on TLD makes me chuckle.

.mobi? Nigga, please.

Read the USER_AGENT variable and adjust your presentation dynamically using 1 domain. Having multiple domains for the same site depending upon the client hardware is a cluster fuck and a half.

A single character TLD like .m would have had promise for mobile devices where quick, no hassle navigation is essential ... .mobi, which is longer than most other TLDs, makes no sense for such devices.

With all that said, more fundlementally, as others have pointed out, technology increasingly makes a separate .mobi TLD redundant and unnecessary.

yes, internet is going mobile .. but, we have all features on mobiles as we have on computers. Regular websites and stuff work perfectly alright on mobiles, small laptops and stuff.

Google doesn't seem to think its so funny. And since .mobi sites are make for mobile use only, it makes sense that you're more likely to have sites that actually load and are properly viewable with only .mobi results.
