Question about models / implants, etc.

When a model gets a boob job or any other cosmetic surgery... are they able to write this off due to the line of work they're in?

I've known some escorts to write the work off, at least in Canada. Obviously you couldn't in the US.

what do you mean 'Obviously you couldn't in the US'? Escorting isn't legal anywhere in Canada - at least in the US there are some legal brothels in Nevada.

The Canadian law is a little amorphous on this issue. The way I understand it at least in some provinces prostitution per se is not illegal but soliciting, pandering and keep a bawdy house (a/k/a house of ill repute) are illegal, essentially making all the elements of most prostitution arrangements illegal anyway. But more pertinently, there is a certain level of tolerance in certain cities in Canada for prostitution. The police do make arrests but mostly they go after problem situations like illegal immigrant prostitutes, sex slavery and the financial aspects of the business rather than street level enforcement of the streetwalkers and outcall services.

There is also a lot of handjobs going on in all those jack shacks up in Toronto, he he! I spent a lot of time up in Canada back in the 90's filming porn, mostly in Toronto, and in strip clubs and massage parlors. Had some of the best times of my life up there! :-)

Here is a link to turbotax and some assorted cases with oddball deductions that were allowed.

You will find breast augmentation as well as body oil.

Yes, you can. I have many friends in the entertainment world that write off anything that has to do with making them look better on camera.

Keep in mind that models are actors and pay taxes just like everyone else. They can deduct items, which allow them to stay in business.

I thought "escorting" was legal in most western countries - whatever happens between the escort and the customer happens between consenting adult etc etc. Or are those disclaimers on escort sites lying to me?! :)
