Anyone work from the us without a green card?
Just checking if you can do that legally if you set up a company... what you need exactly.

The E1/E2 visas are available to people from particular treaty countries for this purpose. But they require that you do substantial international trade or invest a couple of hundred k in a business.

might be easier to keep your foreign residence and consider that as a base, and go back as often as required to stay legal
I think if you stay longer than 6 months you will need a visa of some sort and there is the real possibility that you will be denied entry in the first place if you are intending to stay for such a long time anyways |
You can't work unless you have work authorization (with or without an SSN)
You need a TN, E1, or skilled visa.. or a green card. There's no special exceptions really to any of it and it can take years to get the visa. |
Why would one do such thing? Do you have Somali tribal warriors trying to capture you, ex KGB spies trying to poison you? :)
Seek asylum in the US or the UK. :winkwink: |
So I guess the way to do it is to stay less than 6 months for "personal stuff" and pretend you do not work at all during that time period.
Just checking the options. |
