I use 2003b, pretty much stable as as compared to complaints around lately.

AOL servers stopped accepting pre ICQ6 yesterday and forcing upgrades.

yeah, a few other threads on it already from yesterday but the bottom line is that it is a pig

be careful to make sure you click on 'custom install' or ICQ wants to be your default search engine, home page, and install a toolbar too

Someone really should blockade the AOL offices and force them to upgrade to a new office building. Or rip out their phones and politely inform them that they should upgrade if they wish to continue using it.
Ya know.. put them through some kind of hell as small repayment.

Yeah. I ran into this problem today. Says my OS isn't supported, so I thought I would download icq 2003b but i came across some articles that says there is a vunerablity that was never fixed in it.

Goddamn, I can't even use 2003b. When i try and start it up it tells me can not move user, group full or some shit.

icq has been sucking ass lately
