Who has a Zune? Question...
How do I connect my Zune to my car stereo? I was researching it a month or so ago and I forget what I found out. I believe it had something to do with using the auxiliary port on the car stereo, because when I put in my new car stereo I specifically seek out an auxiliary port... so with that said, what kind of cord do I need to connect my Zune to my stereo/auxiliary port?
My stereo does have iPod and USB capabilities, but for some reason I can't seem to get the Zune to work through the USB port. |

It looks like this package would handle my needs... but really that's kind of overkill. I don't need all three of those. Anyone know what type of cord the auxiliary cord would be? I really don't know much about audio, excuse my ignorance... LOL. |

So did you figure it out?
You say you bought an aftermarket deck with an auxiliary port It COULD be a 3.5mm headphone jack as the input or its a proprietary connector and you need to get an adapter to 3.5mm... Brands like Alpine have setups specifically for the iPod so you can hook it up to your deck and control all of the functions of the ipod on the deck itself.. I'm not aware of anyone having such a product for the Zune so you are likely stuck with the headphone jack as the output... |
You need to provide more information. By saying that you got a stereo with an aux port are you talking about a female 3.5mm port? Those are the most common but you never know.
If there is a small port on the front of your unit that looks like you would plug a pair of headphones in it then thats it. As for the second item you posted. It would not work, its only an extension cord. You basically need a male to male cord. http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search |

Np.:winkwink: |
why not just use fm, they sell little fm pickups for like $20.
its just a little thing you plug into the earphone jack on the zune , then you listen to the zune thru your fm radio of the car. I use one for my ipod/mp3 players |
I find the FM transmitters don't tend to be powerful enough to transmit clearly in big cities... not very happy with mine (of course, it is several years old...)
The male to male aux cable would be perfect if you have the aux in on your car stereo... |

i bought one of the fm things and it sounded like shit, my headunit hasa a AUX input though which works nice

a standard minijack male 2 male lead will sound MILES better than the shitty FM transmitters.
