In the ongoing $1 billion legal lawsuit between YouTube and Viacom, a federal judge has recently ordered the Google to turn over records of all users and videos ever viewed on YouTube. Privacy concern aside, that?s 12 terabytes of data.

Do you have the matching foot blocks like Short-Round in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom?

spideriux 07-08-2008 01:19 PM

9.6 brains.. just WOW

BigBen 07-08-2008 01:24 PM

Gotta love pointless comparisons. I'm surprised they don't show how many copies of the Library of Congress it is.

jakethedog 07-08-2008 01:26 PM

that's not that much .. ? lots of paper ya .. but video data .. notta so much ..

12gb of compressed text is a lot. ;)

Jarmusch 07-08-2008 03:44 PM

I didn't know brain memory capacity could be measured in bytes..

ProducerCashDave 07-08-2008 04:04 PM

That was cool

qxm 07-08-2008 04:07 PM

gotta love the accurate data.........

NinjaSteve 07-09-2008 06:06 AM

Do you think they'll be hiring from an outsourcing company when they research the data?

viencarl 07-09-2008 06:34 AM

wow amazing info thanks for sharing :):):)

HorseShit 07-09-2008 06:45 AM

so each of our brains has nearly a full terabyte storage space? that's nuts

pornguy 07-09-2008 06:50 AM

I think the number of human brains could be wrong. Imagine the amount of information that it takes just to keep the human body working.

sltr 07-09-2008 06:50 AM

quick- someone tell the google that fry's has 1 terabyte hard drives on special for $169

Bossman 07-09-2008 06:58 AM

If Google were evil, then they would print out the data, and ship it in containers to Viacom :winkwink:

Just for everybody's interest, the human brain has an estimated storage capacity of 10^300 Byte. Of course it can't be measured exactly, so give an take a few zeros :)

I walked down a street a few weeks ago. They must have just delivered new phone books because they were all out in the recycling box still in the wraping.
