which month would be better? where should i go?

Go in Aug. Hit up the sluts at Old Orchard Beach. Or if you like color on the trees wait OCT. What part of Maine are you going to?

i have no idea what part to go to, but i think the whole foliage thing is what i'm looking for... any recommendations?

You should come to NC, the mountains are great .. I have some pics from last year when I went .. I rented a little cabin with a hot tub out doors and looked at all the beautiful leaves change, sooo relaxing ...
