Wow! I'd like to get paid a half-million for every time somebody tries a brute force attack on my password file. I'd make 50 million a day everyday.

It said tried to access the site over 200,000 times - I wonder if they were harvesting the data or actually trying to hack the servers. If they were harvesting it then ouch, that's brutal.

Well they did it from their offices and one employee's home, so it was pretty easy to trace back...

I don't remember the story really but my guess is that they were data mining some profiles like Linguist is saying and that from the TOS of facebook that would possibly considered "hacking" or "unauthorized use".

they were probly scannin for the ids of users, and the server logged the info and thats what happend.

btw I get spam from them in my email but I just delete it and not cry about it
