it's a complete fucking mess - he's painted the Packers into a horrible corner. I can't see them taking him back now, and they can't release him to go sign with an NFC rival like the Bears or the Vikings. What they should do is trade his rights to an AFC team.

Brett Favre has always been overrated - this stunt is going to damage his legacy. I don't buy his story - nobody forced him to retire last March - he should have said at the time he was undecided about his future and would have a decision in June - Packers have two young quarterbacks, it wasn't like they needed a decision fast so they could have more time to look for a QB.

Dear God I could not have said it any better (except I don't think he WAS overrated). I am highly shocked he is taking this route all together. I was livid to hear him say he was forced. Total BS.

who's that?

he will stay retired

He had one of the best statistical seasons of his career and was a couple plays from the SuperBowl. Do I think the Pack could have beaten the Pats like the Giants did? No, not really, but then again you never know.

At age 38 he needs to look at all the other Hall of Fame quarterbacks that moved teams and brought team two that extra step to the SuperBowl.... How many are there???? Yeah, like none. Pat yourself on the back, say it was a great career and enjoy not getting your head beat in for six months straight. But then again, at $12.4 million per season, maybe being a back-up isn't so bad either.

Stay retired, quit acting like a spoiled little bitch I say.

He will go a bit further up nort' and start for the Michigan OOpers

Zuzana Designs 07-15-2008 09:40 AM

I'm hoping the bears pick him up lol !!!

Spunky 07-15-2008 10:27 AM

I think he will stay retired rather than be a back up

Mutt 07-15-2008 10:37 AM

what he's done to Aaron Rodgers is really shitty - the Packers had a great season last year, nobody thought they were going to be good so they snuck up on people, their schedule wasn't too difficult - this year they have a hard schedule and with a quarterback with little experience beyond holding a clipboard for 3 years they may have a 9-7 season or worse and all the Favre fanboys will be all over Rodgers adding to the stress of being a first year starting QB in the NFL.

everybody's been talking about how hard it was going to be to replace a legend like Favre - imagine how hard it will be now replacing a legend who wanted to keep leading the team

Furious_Male 07-15-2008 10:40 AM

I think he will go to another team. I for one would like to see him come to Buffalo for 2 seasons. Our second year quarterback could use the veteran tutelage if anything.
