I seriously never got it when people fight over one system versus the others. Who gives a shit really, let people have at it with their own little system and be glad they too can play some game you think is fairly kick ass. Though I guess it would effect the epenises and the verbal jousting.

Maybe they actually want people to play their game. There aren't enough ps3 gamers out there to pay for such a massive game. Releasing it for the 360 was the only way to go.

we call this breed Fanboys! :) I'm all for PS3, but I seriously don't care if they go multi console... it'll just give them more momentum to make even better sequels in time :thumbsup and a petition really won't get in the way of profit for these guys.

Square wants to make money. Releasing it on a platform that is approacing 20 million units worldwide = profit. They're in the business to make money.... not cater to Sony Fanboi's.

Sony shot themselves in the foot, ass and head several times with the PS3. While a great machine that will have a much longer shelf life, the initial cost of $700 and lackluster sales cost them several exclusive titles, and will cost them more, with FF being the latest.

Quite honestly, you'll start seeing less console-exclusive titles, on both platforms, outside of the 1st Party releases.

Just sign the damn petition!

Speaking of exclusivity to the PS3. METAL GEAR SOLID 4 remained true to their word. Square is...well...SQUARE for deceiving gaming fans worldwide!!!

square would be nuts not to release ff on xbox once their contract is up with sony... its business. seriously though what do you even care if its out on both systems???

Guess where that got MGS4...NOWHERE. I didn't buy it. I'd like to play through it but they don't make it for my platform of choice. I own a ps3 but it's a DVD and blueray player, nothing more. I don't buy games for it. The 360 is a vastly superior gaming platform.

I still have a Super Nintendo. :(

Xbox live.
More users on Xbox live than PS3's "service."

Those reasons don't make the platform superior. Your assertions simple mean that Microsoft is better at marketing, that's all.

Microsoft had a year's head start, which is huge in the gaming world. The PS3 was delayed by both the wait time for the new Cell processor (which makes it the most powerful gaming system on the planet) and the resolution time in dealing with blu-ray DRM issues.

By the time the PS3 rolled around, developers had already become comfortable with the Xbox development cycle, not to mention that designing for the PS3 involves a bit more concentration on the Cell processor as opposed to the GPU (the only thing in the xbox that is technically superior).

Microsoft has an aggressive game title selection process and they know about creating communities. The latter gave them the advantage in terms of Xbox Live.

The PS3 will pick up even more as the industry's processing demands grow. It's just a matter of time.

Outrage and assertive demands for Square to keep their word do NOT equal crybaby tears and pleas for a washed up pop star.

All the technology in the world doesn't necessarily mean shit when it comes to gaming. The Nintendo Wii is absolutely destroying the PS3. The Wii is a weak system in terms of processing power. If the sophistication of the machine made any real difference the sales figures would be opposite of what they are now. Most people are interested in having fun, not what components their console contains. The ONLY thing the PS3 has going for it is its technology. Everything else is inferior.

Price counts for a lot and also we have to take into consideration the Wii's niche marketing. Anything that is sold primarily to target an audience of kids who are not gamers will rock dominant over ALL, including your beloved Xbox.

As I said, due to various factors the PS3 is off to a slow start but things are looking up for Sony. As prices for the console drop and the PS3 network finds more content to push, the PS3 console will gain the respect it deserves.

They really should rename it to the Sonly Blu-ray Station. It's certainly not the best choice for gaming. I've been hearing "just wait until there are more games available" since release. The exclusive games aren't coming. I'm never buying another game for it...ever.

Having said that, the PS3 does rock as a DVD player and occasionally a Ubuntu 7.10 machine. It's geek bliss to lie in bed and surf the net and talk to friends on pidgin. The PS3 does have its place.

do you ever leave your desk? i thought about doing a setup like that but decided i needed a break from my office. I have everything setup in the living room wii, wii fit, and 360.

Heh, I just sat them there for the picture. My wii is hooked to the main TV so when people come over they can play. My 360 and PS3 are in the bedroom since I am the only one that plays those. My DS sits on the back of the shitter and my PSP is in a desk drawer. I don't play anything but PC games at my desk.

The PS3 has always outsold the 360 in Japan by at least factor of 10X. The PS3 has been outselling the XBOX 360 in Europe sicne last October.
