PS3 Final Fantasy Fans - Get in here...Sign the petition
Honor should never be compromised. Square wants to release Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox when previously they declared it was going to be an exclusive release for the PS3! Blasphemous...
And yes, I know that I can fit the description of a Vista fanboy at times, but that's different... |
God damn... if you were a ghost buster you'd be the one with the glasses. Fucking nerd!
|
That's not me, but I support the cause wholeheartedly.
|
who cares. FF on XBOX 360 is going to take 4-5 discs. PS3 one disc. kind of a no brainer.
|
Wait so it matters in some way at all that the xbox people can not play it on their system?
I seriously never got it when people fight over one system versus the others. Who gives a shit really, let people have at it with their own little system and be glad they too can play some game you think is fairly kick ass. Though I guess it would effect the epenises and the verbal jousting. |
Maybe they actually want people to play their game. There aren't enough ps3 gamers out there to pay for such a massive game. Releasing it for the 360 was the only way to go.
|
Well that guy in the video makes me feel good about myself.
What a loser :) Thanks for the hook up! |
we call this breed Fanboys! :) I'm all for PS3, but I seriously don't care if they go multi console... it'll just give them more momentum to make even better sequels in time :thumbsup and a petition really won't get in the way of profit for these guys.

Square wants to make money. Releasing it on a platform that is approacing 20 million units worldwide = profit. They're in the business to make money.... not cater to Sony Fanboi's.
Sony shot themselves in the foot, ass and head several times with the PS3. While a great machine that will have a much longer shelf life, the initial cost of $700 and lackluster sales cost them several exclusive titles, and will cost them more, with FF being the latest. Quite honestly, you'll start seeing less console-exclusive titles, on both platforms, outside of the 1st Party releases. |
Just sign the damn petition!
Damn it all to hell...Is there no one who understands? Speaking of exclusivity to the PS3. METAL GEAR SOLID 4 remained true to their word. Square is...well...SQUARE for deceiving gaming fans worldwide!!! ...there will be hell to pay for this... |

The cry baby in the video makes me NOT want to sign the petition!
|
Not signing anything because of that tool - shut off the video within the first 5 sentences. I do however support the idea that FF should only be for PS
|
square would be nuts not to release ff on xbox once their contract is up with sony... its business. seriously though what do you even care if its out on both systems???

Less expensive. Xbox live. More users on Xbox live than PS3's "service." |

Microsoft had a year's head start, which is huge in the gaming world. The PS3 was delayed by both the wait time for the new Cell processor (which makes it the most powerful gaming system on the planet) and the resolution time in dealing with blu-ray DRM issues. By the time the PS3 rolled around, developers had already become comfortable with the Xbox development cycle, not to mention that designing for the PS3 involves a bit more concentration on the Cell processor as opposed to the GPU (the only thing in the xbox that is technically superior). Microsoft has an aggressive game title selection process and they know about creating communities. The latter gave them the advantage in terms of Xbox Live. The PS3 will pick up even more as the industry's processing demands grow. It's just a matter of time. |

Worldwide Hardware Sales (End of March 2008) Wii - 24.45 million Xbox 360 - 19 million PS3 - 12.81 million (Bloomberg, July 14, 2008) -- Sony Corp.'s PlayStation 3, the 2007 loser in the fight for second place in video-game console sales, IS gaining ground on Microsoft Corp.'s Xbox 360. The PlayStation 3 outsold the Xbox 360 in the U.S. in the first five months of 2008 after trailing Microsoft's console in 2007. New exclusive games, such as ``Metal Gear Solid 4,'' and the rise of Sony's Blu-ray as the dominant high-definition DVD player may enable PlayStation 3 to hold onto its lead. (LINK) As I said, due to various factors the PS3 is off to a slow start but things are looking up for Sony. As prices for the console drop and the PS3 network finds more content to push, the PS3 console will gain the respect it deserves. |
"...the rise of Sony's Blu-ray as the dominant high-definition DVD player may enable PlayStation 3 to hold onto its lead."
They really should rename it to the Sonly Blu-ray Station. It's certainly not the best choice for gaming. I've been hearing "just wait until there are more games available" since release. The exclusive games aren't coming. I'm never buying another game for it...ever. Having said that, the PS3 does rock as a DVD player and occasionally a Ubuntu 7.10 machine. It's geek bliss to lie in bed and surf the net and talk to friends on pidgin. The PS3 does have its place. Here's a little family portrait just so I am not accused of being a rabid Microsoft fanboy. http://i282.photobucket.com/albums/k...9/geekdesk.jpg |
