Why dog parks are bad

In a perfect world dog parks are great. The world is not perfect and neither are dog parks. For the following reason I think people should stay away from them at all costs:

Dog parks are a cesspool of diseases. Lots of dogs don?t have the correct vaccinations, since owners don?t care enough. Some dogs are not even on flea medications. Since owners rarely pick up their dogs waste the door park is literally a minefield of dog poop with all sorts of diseases coming with it.

Dog parks are dangerous because you never know what kind of dogs come there. You may have the friendliest dog in the world, but that doesn?t matter if someone?s untrained 100 pound Fido decides that your dog looked wrong on him. While you are trying to save your dog, a lot of owner will just stand around yelling that Fido is just playing around. This is especially dangerous for young puppies. ......

don't forget ALLLLLLLLL the pee you can't see. all those chips and stuff they lay down on the grounds is soaked in dog urine.

There's a dog park near me, and when the wind is blowing the right (wrong?) way, all I can smell is dogshit.

People need to train their mutts better...

It all depends on the owners. If people aren't responsible, the city or whoever owns the land should put up warning signs. If it continues to be dirty, just cancel the offleash privileges.

Not picking up your dog's poop is something that mostly very lazy ignorant people with a false sense of self-entitlement and no regard for others do.

Hell, on the rare occasion that I didn't have a plastic bag with me and my dog pooped I would walk him home, get a few bags, walk back to the poop he did and pick it up. I've even taken a flashlight if it was at night, to find it.

Two things that bother me; people who litter, and people who don't pick up their dog's poop.

I have picked up some nice pussy at the local dog parks. I do better there than a loud club and the girls are hotter.

The dog parks by me require you to buy a permit. It's not expensive but it keeps some of the scumbags out. Usually those are the ones with the poorly trained pets and don't pick up after them.

You sir are correct. Most ppl don't deserve to even own dogs or any animals at that.

I don't take my dogs to dog parks but I don't suppose a pack of 3 Rottweilers would have that much trouble with the other dogs.
