Do you work out? And how the hell do you have time?
I try walking half an hour in the afternoons and most of the time I'm just too swamped with work to do it.
How do you manage to make time for "working out" and for "making money"? |
I need to get back in the gym. I lost 150lbs a couple of years ago and have put some of it back on.
I try to ride my mountain bike offroad a few times a week but the last few weeks have been tough... |
just take the time whenever you want...
who says you need to be working all the time :question |
Never been to a gym in my life.
I'm still skinny, so i guess i don't bother with the working out because of that. I know i still should though... |
no idea how people feel they never have time...unless you are working from home and looking after 2 kids I dont see how you can claim you have no time...if you manage your time well and stick to a scheduele there shoudlnt be any reason not to have a couple of hours a day to work out or do something other than work.
|
We have an elliptical and a recumbent bike in the basement. Once i get some weights down there and eventually a treadmill, it should be easy.
|
i play basketball every tuesday for about 3 hours...as well i golf 2 times a week on average..and hike an hour 2-3 times a week...haven't been in a gym in a long time, but i am losing some weight:)
id like to play ball twice a week, id be in top shape after the summer if i could |

I have found most of it comes down to time management. You can bust your ass in the AM to have a nice relaxing afternoon to work out, jetski, hit the mall, park, jerk off, chase pussy if you like and then come back and do some work in the evening.... or you could bust your ass from the time you get up for 6-8 hours, and then have the evening to work out and whatever. I tend to juggle my week a bit differently to make time. Especially in the summer, or warmer, months. I prefer to be golfing, outside, or being active versus working. So I will bust my ass for a few days a week getting as much as I can done in the week's workload, and then have 3-5 days to go half day, or half speed. |
Football x2 every week, and 3x bike (while I watch a good movie). Indoor bike that is! Works perfect!
|
Get up early and workout in the morning. I do it at 5 am, when I try to workout later in the afternoon or evening I always find that there's no time. Working out in the morning leaves no room for excuse or procrastination.
|
Yeah, time management.
One of the great things about working from home is: you get to work from home. One of the huge problems with working from home is: you are living at work. You have to MAKE time for non-work. Schedule it! Be strict. Good luck. |
Make it a routine. I go to the gym after work for about 1.5 hrs or so. Just have to make sure you go. Wish I had the energy in the morning but dont :(
|
Get to a point where you can run 4 miles in under 25 minutes...each morning before you eat breakfast. I've been doing that since I was in college and it works for me and anything else in the day is a bonus.
You'll probably need to load up on mad levels of caffeine though :winkwink: |
I could manage it easily if I didn't have kids. I feel too guilty spending time at the gym after working 8-10 hours.
|
One hour workout lifting weights or doing some cardio forty-five minutes after I digest my breakfast in the mid-morning. Then, home, shower, eat again and then I have the whole afternoon for shoots or work in the office. Make it a priority, it will improve the quality of your life.
|
Make a routine. If you aren't going it's not because you don't have time it's because you it's not a priority to you.
If you are serious about getting into shape and good health then you will make it a part of your lifestyle. If all you want to do is walk for 30 minutes a day, all you need to do is walk to work or the store or wherever you would normally drive...that should be really easy. |
I always manage to make time 5-6 days a week. If you are really crunched for time instead of walking a half hour try 10-15 minutes of HIIT instead.
|
I always try to do it in the begining of the day
|
I just wake up early and hit the gym...5:30am or so
warning: dont work out with Hugo from Silvercash...that guy is an animal he will destroy you my arms still hurt! |

May be that's what I need to do, work out early in the morning.
I'm a mom, so I hate myself when I take time away from my little man (3 years old) after a full day of work, to exercise. He hates walking with me, so forget about taking him. I'll give it a try starting tomorrow (let's see how hard it is to get out of bed before 7AM!) |
Go to flexonline.com and check out this 30 minute total body workout that's how you do it. I just did it today and wound up vomiting before I finished but hey plan it out and you can get a good one in under an hour. Better than watching porntube :D

1) Drop your mobile in the nearest lake (I'd say garbage, but water is more permanent when you have the inevitable second thoughts)
2) Set a specific time each day for you. Period. No friends, no work, no IM, nothing. In this time you can workout, read, walk, whatever you want. 2 steps to a whole new you :thumbsup |
I never worked out! lol
oh yeah, I just sleep, eat and work! I'm lazy! I have no life! Beat that! lol Seriously, I used to walk 30 minutes in the morning and 15 minutes after work. But that's just it! :( |
For people who have kids, why not forget the gym and find a different way to incorporate exercise into your lives? Include the children. Take babies out for walks. Go with older kids for bike rides. Take teens wall climbing, hiking, downhill biking, skiing, snowboarding, etc. There are all kinds of things you can do that will get you out and moving.
For myself, getting to the gym is a matter of setting a time and date, as opposed to saying "oh I'll do it three times this week, on days that seem right". If I don't nail a time and day down, it never happens. |
It's tough but you have to find ways to do it. Otherwise the pounds start adding up.
I found extra time by cutting down on the amount of TV I watch. |
