Webair Virtual Hosting - Wordpress
 

I have a virtual account with webair. With other hosting providers I have used there was usually a "one click install" for wordpress. I can't see similiar available for webair. Can anyone please tell me if my eyes are telling lies, or is it not really available and I have to go through the heartship of manually installing about 10 blogs. ahhh.

There's no one-click Wordpress install at Webair. I went through the same thing last month. But if you don't want to do it yourself, drop an email to the support and they'll do it for you.

I guess i'll have to do it myself, boo hoo :(

BTW, Webair is outdated hardcore.

I'm complaining about having to install it 10 times over this next weekend and probably 20 times more before the end of August.

I know it sounds trivial but I honestly will probably try to find a new host that has the one-click install feature available. I'm using virtual hosting to develop a whole bunch of blogs that I later intend to move onto their own ips when I have the capital available to do so (and the traffic, pr, serps, etc has all started to show signs of growing on the blogs). It might only take 5 or 10 minutes but there's a lot of them to get through and every minute really does count. It's not too much to ask to have such facilities in place from your host. Most of the others I have ever dealt with had it, and I was actually very suprised to see the much loved webair.com do not.

10 at one time without the one-click install is a pain in the ass, but I would suggest you ask support to do them.

If they can't handle that...well, move hosts.

There are also people on here who I've seen offering blog setups for a fee. They do the WP install + plugins for you.

They don't do one click installs. You're better off grabbing a version of WP you're happy with, complete with all plugins, and just do it yourself.

That's what I ended up doing with them. Well, actually, I paid some gumby to do it.

And make sure your FTP password is fucking nuts to crack, some asshole broke into my webair account a few days ago and added malware to a bunch of sites.

Get dreamhost for a 1 click install for wordpress, with one of the below invitation codes for more bandwidth:

I'm gonna give it a lash myself with the installs for now. Will hit you up if needed though.

They're FreeBSD, and it's not fucking CPanel with Fantastico by default. If you want that, find another 14 year old who needs help with the money paying for his CLANSERV.

This takes all of 2 seconds..besides uploading WP.
