Calling Germany from Germany
 

Alright, I am in Germany trying to call my buddy from a landline phone and it isn't working.

How do I call locally from a German landline to a cell phone?

For example, if the number that I call from the States is 011-49-177-000-0000, what numbers would I eliminate/switch around to call?

49 and the number

Are you in the same city? If so remove everything but the last 7. Go up from there ie if in different city use city code (below)

49 = country code
177 = city code
000-0000 = Phone Number

put a 0 infront of the area code then the number.. in your case 0177 000 0000

If the number is 0170 - 333 444 555 then you would call 0049170333444555 if you call from a cell phone.
Landline to landline is just 0170 333 444 555
Landline to cell phone is 0170 333 444 555
