If Your Affiliate Code Is At The Top Of Google For a Paysite
should the sponsor zero out the sales you have earned thus far?
discuss. |
why? if your affiliate code ends up #1 and you're still bringing in sales you should be paid for them. It's not anything illegal going on.
|
They should really be kissing your ass
|
Is that a serious question?
|
if they cut you off that would be super shady
|
i gotta send them an email and see why my sales are zeroed out. support isn't open until monday.
like now it shows: 1:464 $0.00 ??? you know some programs feel affiliates don't "deserve" sales for whatever reason - maybe i'm just being paranoid .... |
Please tell us which program that is.
|
i want to talk to them first. errors happen. if not fixed i will post for sure.
just wondering if it's happened to anyone before. |

Dude, tell us what program this is! lol, that's definitely fucked up for the program to do that.
|
well it looks like one of their house accounts is at the top of goog now.
i have no proof that is why they zeroed out the sales - but i don't know why else. there was nothing shady going on. made a couple galleries and submitted them around, promoted them on a blog. |
whats the program ?
|
you should have taken screenshots, start doing it now of the affiliate area...
try and do the google results as well.. and tell us who, they ripped you off... |
If you page title is there domain <title>Ebay.com</title> yes.
If it's your domain, no |
We have many affiliates that have high search engine rankings and traffic based on our site name. We never zero them out. All sales are good sales. I'd rather the traffic come to me than to another sponsor.
|
You worked to get the position, you should be compensated for it. Obviously you SEOd their link better than they could.
I agree, you were ripped off. |
nah - it was a paysite with my affiliate code.
|
If they're zero'ing out your payments for getting a top ranking, you should expose them. That's really shady.
WG |
yeah just to clarify it wasn't a site on my own domain - it was their paysite carrying my affil. code.
anyway - sent them an email to see what's up. |

I had several of my affiliate links generating sales in a similar situation for JuicyBucks, TCG, and Kinkydollars - none of them ever pulled any tricks like your sponsor. Out 'em if they don't give you a good reason for it! |

are you sure that one sign up was not a webmaster sign up?
|
That 1:464 0 dollars thing was probably a chargeback or credit. If its nats check your detailed stats report.
|
I am thinking it was probably an error or something unrelated to this.
If they really did cancel your sales because of your google position, then that is really shitty and they should be hung out to dry. |
no webmaster sign ups, no chargebacks - just this morning the sales i had generated 0 ... very weird - anyway, we'll see what they reply. keep you posted.
it still shows the sales - just the dollar amount is gone. 1:465 $0.00 |

detailed stats shows no chargebacks or credits - i'm leaning towards glitch as its good program -
just curious if there are programs that would think sales generated that way would be invalid - and judging from dungeon bank dudes response - there is i guess. |
ok ok, is there more than one sale?
we all might be jumping the gun here... if this is based on one sale, then theres a chargeback issue or something/ I highly doubt a #1 placement is generating one sale though... how many? |
They must have in-house stats software..
because shaving is impossible with NATS and MPA3, right? ;) |

:Oh crap
|
damn look at all the people just assuming shit and just waiting to bash them LOL, unreal. How the hell these affiliate managers deal with stuff like this without shooting people is amazing
|
Find out if it's an error of some kind and if not name the company.
|
We had google #3 for "handjob" with bangbros' tugjobs.com with our aff code on it for 3-4 weeks steady... made 3-8 sales a day
|
And yet .. still no reply from the sponsor? Does it generally take this long to get a response?
|
the sponsor probably doesnt even know you had that magical ranking that brought you a whopping 1 sale. people are such conspiracy theorists.
|
their support is closed on the weekend. i'll report when i hear back.
|
Was it one sale?
|
it was at the top of goog for a hot sologirl. it was more than one sale.
|
budsbabes really isn't giving much info at all.. if it was just 1 sale, this whole thread is very laughable
|
yes......
|
If they fucked you, most everyone will keep doing business with them and kiss their ass if they have a contest thread or a new site as if nothing even happened. And of course all the big money guys will for sure keep pushing them no matter how many people they fuck.
Sadly, everyone is out for themselves in this business. Hope you didn't get fucked though. You earned that spot, you should keep the sales. |
man it was more than 1, 2, 5 ..... sales ... i don't want to slander a company if it's just a error - shit happens - i know it's not gfy style but whatevs ....

My thoughts are I would not be mad at you for having a 1# spot for one of my sites.. I would be happy with todays trends of so many ripping sites having 1# google spots.. Some people don't allow affiliates to own the .net of a paysite but I myself do not mind at all cause if you are any good at SEO that means you will generate sales for me where if i bought the .net myself i might not have the time or know how someone else does to get great SE out of the .net |
