its a waste space if you ask me. you want eople to read the posts and the people start from top to bottom, closer the content is to the top the better.

That is just another case. As i mentioned that is not standard look and feel and besides all you still do have the visible ads, menu, categories are content areas. In that case the header is not over blocking the content but simply acts like an eye catch method to keep the visitor interested about the site as not always the content is enough for that.

Besides, that is considered for the basic resolution of 1024x768 but these days it is more usual that users are getting better performance machines with even higher resolutions.

I do also work and promote variety of SEO projects and from the SEO point of view the theme is optimized and coded in a clean and seo friendly manner. The content is actually closer then possiable to the top for the search engines as the whole header does not take more then just a css code the rest is made for the top ads and the top navigation.

The modification of theme would be included into the price. Lets change the logo to match your domain and if you like to shrink a header, could be done as well.

If you take it i can modify the header so it would be an exact size you would prefer. You would get 2 themes at the end with the large header and the smaller one to switch theme anytime.

I'm thinking about it but I'm not sure. I wouldn't know which site to use it on right now :)

yup - way too big

Can be reduced by request of the buy and you can get 2 themes, one with large header and another with reduced, then to try both and see which converts better :)
