I'm partial to Newcastle...

Or for a unique experience, you could try Bear Whiz Beer:

"It's in the Water - That's why it's yellow"

That stuff is pretty good. I get it at my local cajun restaurant.

Just pay a visit to http://www.najasplace.com/ - it is close to you and you have a ton to sample from.

Brujah 07-21-2008 01:36 PM

Stone - Arrogant Bastard or Ruination IPA but I don't think you'll like them if you like Stella, and Sierra Nevada. Same with Rogue Dead Guy Ale or Shakespeare Stout.

Redjellybean 07-21-2008 01:37 PM

Guinness, but only drink it in Ireland.

Babaganoosh 07-21-2008 01:42 PM

Kronenberg 1664

That's about all I buy anymore. I drink whatever when I am at someone's house but when they come over they know it's Kronenberg 1664.

I'll have to try that. Ever since I had my first (and last) Abita Turbodog I have avoided anything with the Abita logo on it.

there have been quite a few IPAs that i've rly liked but you are right, the heavier stouts and such are not my favorites, for some reason i find it hard to get a rly good beer buzz from those styles of beers, except for those IPAs

:)

I second the recommendations for Duvel, Chimay and ANYTHING by Stone. I'm also a huge fan of most of the Dogfishhead varieties. Recently enjoying some of the beers from Ballast Point Brewery in san diego

dready 07-21-2008 03:30 PM

Rochefort 8 and 12, also Westmalle double. Some of the nicest Belgians around. In fact, try to sample all the Belgian Trappist beers.

From Canada try some of the Unibroue beers. They are by far the best brewery in the country.

sltr 07-21-2008 03:33 PM

nice! looks like stone makes a tasty beer, many thumbs up on those eh.

Spunky 07-21-2008 03:35 PM

Peroni or Nastro Azzurro
Hoegaarden
Kronenberg
Pilsner Urqell ?
All good beers

Deej 07-21-2008 03:36 PM

if youre not used to west coats beer i like Widmer Hefenweizen - not other brands...

its much better on tap but a nice cold bottle isnt bad...

unfiltered whaet beer... pretty good

Well, as I have not had to use them in quite a while I am not sure they would recognize me, or I them.

Now, if you want a referral for one of the dealerships . . .
