sad is, his death made it that big :(

gnarxy 07-21-2008 05:35 PM

Tried to go see it last night and it was sold-out.. Is it really awesome as shit, or is it just getting huge marketing b/c of Ledger's death and final performance?

hypedough 07-21-2008 05:42 PM

Can't wait to see it in a few months lol

very true. Movie otherwise mediocre, but the momentum it gained when Heath died was so powerful it stuck with it till the release and after.

gnarxy 07-21-2008 05:52 PM

I'm sure he's good as hell in it, but him dieing definitely probably adds a certain mystique feel to it as well

Yah his death helped get the word out that the movie was coming soon..

But... I don't think sales would have been good for any other movie just because he died..

People wanted to see a new baddass Batman and Joker movie and the director Christopher Nolan is very respected by a large audience.

Manowar 07-21-2008 06:05 PM

thats some major change

tranza 07-22-2008 08:14 AM

If you're a fan of Frank Miller's "The Dark Knight Returns" and darker storylines (The Killing Joke, The Long Halloween, Hush), the movie will make your balls explode and your dick will fly off and fuck the screen.

If you haven't read comics in the last ten years you'll find the movie a bit long and entertaining but nothing more.

It's a lot of hype of course because the guy is dead and the movie itself was very good, not the best movie ever but very good and definitely worth seeing although I found Ironman better because it didn't run on

shadowsdrop 07-22-2008 10:15 AM

That's awesome. owe to mr. ledger's death

TubeTitans_SusieQ 07-22-2008 10:34 AM

Juicy D. Links 07-22-2008 04:20 PM

Kudles 07-22-2008 06:27 PM

Holy Crap!!!!!

bringer 07-22-2008 06:36 PM

beat a record? who CARES!? when i saw spiderman3 LAST YEAR it was $11 at the imax. batman was $14 and it only beat spiderman3 by $4 million overall. matinee then was $6.50 and now its $9. inflation? record talk is nothing more than a pr tactic considering batman just like starwars and others was sold out nearly every show with people WAITING HOURS to buy tickets. im sure we'll see more records broken soon.

MediaGuy 07-22-2008 07:30 PM

The Spidermans were rubbery bore-fests, really, except maybe not the first.

This movie really rocks. Deserves to blow away the "records".

:D

teg0 07-22-2008 07:32 PM

Not even interested in seeing it in the slightest, especailly how its marketed as "HEATH LEDGER OMG HE IS DEAD NOW" Movie. All the promo pics and stuff I see everywhere just show him as Joker. Its a Batman movie, not a Joker movie. Most people going are probably going just because of the heath ledger thing.
