I Can't Believe People Are Getting Excited Over The Drop In Gas Price
So they've took about 3p off a litre here. Would be a big deal if they hadn't put it up over 30p in the past few months.
People are acting like it's actually cheap now. You do the math... :2 cents: |
Well 50p in the litre is fuel tax and around 30p is VAT (correct me if im wrong) so thats like more than half what im paying at the pump.
Its more of a psychological effect, the drop in price makes consumers feel more re-assured that the economy isn't doing as bad and that will revitalize spending (hopefully).

People are slowly conditionned to new gas prices
If they make you used to paying $10.00/gallon, then drop it to $8.00/gallon... you still get fucked, but you like it and are happy to pay it.
You are right. I saw gas below 4 bucks it was like 3.98 and I was excited. Then I realized its still fucking expensive and laughed at myself.
They are talking about raising the gas tax in the states.
It's time not to use gas. Ride a bicycle.

The first time I take a chick out, I whip her ass and then make her buy me a steak and watch me eat it. Then on the second date when I DON'T whip her ass and take her to McDonalds she's so thrilled that I usually get a BJ out of it. |
wtf lower gas prices? im on holidays and havent filled up.
WOOO HOOOOOOOOO! :warning lower gas prices fucking rule! :warning |
lol i wish they would lower it here, instead they raise the price if you use your credit card .... :(
Omg I saved a $1.67 on gas today!!!@!@#$!#$!@#$
Ahh Jimmy, you're such a charmer :)
Gas always falls in price at the end of the summer road trip season, but it never falls quite as far back to pre-summer levels. Those sneaky gas stations... |

Its better than nothing. I'll save $4 on a full tank of gas. Better in my pocket that those multi billion dollar companies.
The joke I'll make is "Look honey the price has gone down from painfully insufferable to merely unacceptably outrageous"
There's a new project in the works called PickensPlan. The plan is to use wind power to divert use of natural gas to make electricity. Then, with more natural gas available, we switch to compressed natural gas as a fuel source. One glitch. Compressed Natural Gas is about $1.20-$2.50 in Los Angeles, give or take. Once demand goes even higher, we would be pay as much for CNG as we would for petrol. Oh, and did I mention everyone has to buy a new car to use CNG? |
All this shit is so marketing-engineered it's laughable.
Motherfuckers are engineering gas prices to try and psychologically affect the masses at crucial times. It's THX-1138 and all that. |
WG has a point. It's probably a psychological effect of knowing it lowered when it actually isn't! :Oh crap
I would be happy too.
what I really dont understand is, is people who drives around to find the cheapest gas!? wtf is up with that... lol
It has always been like that though. They raise the price about a dollar per gallon, then when they drop it 20 cents everyone gets excited, it will last like a month or two then repeat all over again.

If it was half the price I would give a shit. |
I give caring about the gas prices
Obama is against domestic drilling :2 cents:
Well, it's true I used to feel better when the price would drop a couple cents (even after going up like $0.20-0.30), but with the price it is now, a few cents isn't going to really do anything..
