im curious, is there a way to know if the feds/state are investigation you?

Ive seen lots of people go down for stuff related to porn,etc, and im wondering if they had known they were being investigated, could they have gotten off easier??

They Investigate you to collect information about criminal activity, so they certainly are not going to call you and say "Oh by the way you are under investigation so keep up the criminal activity we would be very grateful."

I thought there was a way you could request info to see if you are being investigated? freedom of information act or something like that?

Or you could have your lawyer call them.LOL, but then if they WERENT investigating u before, u just made them open up one.haha
