Anyone here use Joomla?
If so, is it worth using? Or are there any better alternatives?
|
I used mambo (earlier vers of joomla) years ago for a few sites, and still have it on one. Its ok as CMS go.
|
I love joomla, easy to work with... out of the box functional for a lot of things, and no hassles customizations and upgrades.
|
Joomla is the best, Ive been using it for years.
|
Joomla rocks. Most all of my websites are Joomla powered. Joomla has all kinds of super cool extensions and the largest open source CMS online community there is out there.
:thumbsup |
Not so secure, but ok for basic use. :2 cents:
|
do you really need it? if you don't than simply don't waste your time, and waste youtr time you will
I managed to have one site up using Joomla and Seyret (sp) and I can honestly tell you that I haven't been more frustrated in years, extremely poor documentation and almost non-existant tutorials for the latest version (at least few months ago), even worse for Seyret (sp), just my 2c |
Depends what you wanna do with it.
Most of the time its a clunky waste of time. |
Joomla is kinda over weight IMHO but it just depends what you plan to do with it. If you don't mind having custom coding done I think ModX cms is a better one.
