Apple & iTunes

One thing I hate about iTunes....

actually... it's any Apple application.... but they are not the only one....

is programs that always auto check to load on start up. Then you have to MSconfig to uncheck that shit. Real player, Quicktime, iTunes.

Apple is a ridiculously arrogant company. I dread having to update any of the Apple software I have installed, I'm constantly interrupted by their annoying pop-up "reminders", and they're the kings of the pre-checked installs.

I wish someone would explain to me why this idiot company thinks they have any right to install random shit - or change file associations - on my PC. I fucking hate Apple.

Exactly.

For the longest time, regardless of the movie or application, I R-E-F-U-S-E-D to install quicktime for that reason.

I hate having to manually close that shit from running in the background once I have close the application out, and then msconfig as well.

:disgust

People aren't saying Microsoft is better then Apple are they?? I'm a PC user, but only because it's my old industry and I know it better. I look forward to the day that I can relax and take the time to migrate over to the Apple side of life.

I just got the new Apple keyboard. I'm liking the new feel of it but WTF is up with the function keys. Function keys should be function keys... period. I can't hit a hot key without iTunes changing songs. Anyone else have this problem and know how to change it?

system preferences -> keyboard & mouse -> keyboard and check the box that says "use all f1, f2, etc keys as standard function keys"

Agreed. I can not understand why they have so many fan boys. They are more controlling than MS has ever been. Their applications annoy the shit out of me, including itunes.
