Bandwith spike? What's the point, rapidshare hosts them for free. They don't care.

Plus you can easily find whatever of your content is on RS by searching google. You don't really need this open directory.

how does that hurt them? they have a download cap for free accounts, if anything that'll just help them. i pretty sure people will end up buying accounts to download more and faster.

That seems like 0.5% of Rapidshare's total files.
