NetBilling vs. 2Checkout

Hello everyone. I'm trying to choose the best payment processor to sell my products. I will be selling items like herbal acne pills, acne creams, ebooks and more.

I'm looking for a reputable company and it seems like 2checkout is used by so many small internet companies and has positive reviews.

What about Netbilling? Are they reputable? Are they a good company to work with? I don't know anything about Netbilling.

I don't want to have to sign up for a merchant account and 2checkout makes everything so easy to setup for a one man operation.

Mohawk Steve 08-13-2008 03:55 PM

Netbilling is very easy to use and they will help you in setting up things you need. We've been using them for awhile now and no complaints.

nnweb 08-13-2008 03:56 PM

2checkout is not going to be for you and you are probably going to want an offshore account for those products.

tttcash 08-13-2008 05:52 PM

Thanks stevee and nnweb for answering. However, I'm a bit lost. Why would I need an offshore account to sell herbal acne pills and creams? I'm not doing anything illegal.

Thanks

charlieb 08-13-2008 06:02 PM

Hands down Netbilling :thumbsup

Klen 08-14-2008 04:23 AM

I think netbliing have lower fees if i am not wrong..

tttcash 08-14-2008 10:53 AM

I don't think I can use CCbill because I'm shipping products. But, I'm not sure.

2checkout gets nervous about things like penis pills, and your going through their merchant account, so they are going to be extra strict (now i know you said "herbal acne pills and creams" but im taking into context the board you are asking this on :))

netbilling has years of experience in this and a good reputation, id advise getting your own merchant account through them

pr0 08-14-2008 11:04 AM

always go with someone inside our circle

so of course, netbilling

tttcash 08-14-2008 12:14 PM

webmasterchecks and pr0, thanks for your answers. I am waiting for a reply from 2checkout, however Netbilling may be the way to go.

I just don't know how many items I'm going to sell. Again, it's a one man operation and I don't have a lot of cash right now, so I'm trying to find the cheapest way and least frustrating way to start.

Thanks Again

i find it very strange about netbilling when they expect to have more than 20k in revenues for using their service..... and how can i achieve that if i am start-up company????

and thumbs up for 2checkout for making thing easier for start up businesses....

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 08-14-2008 12:28 PM

2Checkout who?

If you not heard of Netbilling you live under a rock.

Nader 08-14-2008 12:44 PM

NETBILLING hands down! They have been around for years and have
awesome support. I've used them for my old system Nichepay.com for many years
with no problem.

:)

melack 08-14-2008 07:55 PM

You could try gspay.com
I have used these guy for 18 months for mainstream ecommerce.
Processing fee are from 5-8%.

Pornwolf 08-14-2008 08:03 PM

Netbilling all the way.

Tell Karen I said Hi. She rocks. I'd like to have her babies.

AmeliaG 08-14-2008 09:41 PM

Ebooks require different processing from hard goods I believe. I use CCNow for hard goods.

MarcWomack 08-14-2008 09:46 PM

Been an incredibly happy NetBilling customer for five years. Can't recommend them highly enough!

Hi,

2CO charges in excess of 5%. We can help you setup a merchant account for products in one day and give you an extreme amount of flexibility as well as daily payouts if you are in the USA (they payout weekly I believe). We process for thousands of sites and have been in business for 10 years.

Please contact our sales department for a walkthrough of our system and compare to 2CO. I know you will be impressed.

Thank you, Mitch Farber

Hi,

You may be a bit confused. If you have an adult membership site or something the bank will consider high risk, they require 20k for offshore merchant accounts and our domestic banks require 10k per month of previous history to obtain a merchant account. However, for mainstream or product sales of any type, there is no minimum and they welcome startups.

Many merchants start with third party processors and move to us when they have the volume and history. The volume minimum is not a NETbilling requirement but a bank requirement.

Questions?

Thank you

I love NetBilling :)

jact 08-15-2008 12:30 AM

You're comparing Apples to rotten tomatoes comparing Netbilling to 2CO.

Netbilling will grow your business.

Gspay has been good for me, haven't really had any problems and its easy to install in oscommerce carts which is important to me.
There is definently cheaper options available but since i have used them my chargeback rate has been very low. I think there a good option if you are based outside US or if you are in a high risk industry like pharmacy or replicas.

Any questions?

Dan 08-15-2008 01:37 PM

Netbilling is TOPS. No doubt. They are the gateway for 90% of all of our transactions. They have a very easy to use and functional interface that will help with all of your reporting, fraud controls, and more. They have professional and friendly staff who know what the hell they are talking about.

BTW I have been with Netbilling since day one of my first amateur site nearly 10 years ago without fail they have been there for my business.

Dan - you are a great friend and obviously very smart too.

Thank you

I recently applied to netbilling and got the 10k/mo and 6 mo of revenues email back from them but it makes sense now. obviously the adult involvement requires a higher discretion.

Mitch... can you restate the non-adult qualifications then? No min requirement in regards to sales? So if starting a "mainstream" type site, there's no minimum sales amount that you are looking for? Might be looking your way on a project then if so. Thanks.. (Contact via reply here or icq). thanks..:)

Hi,

If you did not get a reply then we did not receive anything because we ALWAYS reply.

The only requirements for mainstream is that you have a business registered, checking account and pay the $45 bank application fee.

Please contact our sales department Monday to get it all rolling.

We look forward to serving you.
