have u heard of griselda blanco? she was one crazy bitch!

I heard about her from the documentary "Cocaine Cowboys"

She was the first Godmother and biggest female drug trafficker of all times, a real-life Scarface, they said at one point she was worth 1 billion dollars and she was also responsible for a lot of the drug related murders in Miami.

They said that even when she was in jail she was still making 50 million dollars a year trafficking drugs.

She was released from jail and now in Columbia and still alive. Does anyone know what she's doing these days, if she's still drug trafficking? It's a miracle she is still alive because apparently a lot of people want her dead. She probably still has millions and millions hidden away in offshore accounts. She will need it for bodyguards etc to keep her alive, it must be working cause she is not dead yet!

Good Ole Miami.

Where I grew up in brooklyn, there was a known granny drug dealer. She was like 65+ slinging.

I think I read something about her in this month or last month's Maxim.

She didn't fuck around, that's for sure.

Shot her own husband dead.

She was always ugly and fat but she looks not good at all in the picture cause she served so much time in jail and is old now.

Not sure if I watched the sequel or not, but I caught it on showtime and it was pretty interesting. Those guys made some serious money.

So did Griselda too even tho she was a woman, she was worth 1 billion at her zenith!
That's a lot of money, she was a billionaire!

The sequel is called "Hustlin with the Godmother" featuring Charles Cosby. He met Griselda while she was incarcerated. He was a small time dealer and Griselda gave him the hookup for his drugs and he became a millionaire within one month.

cocaine cowboys, the first one is on cable, like showtime (I DVR'ed it). The second one is not out on cable yet I think, they probably have it at Blockbuster.

I watched the sequel online, but I will also rent it because I want to see it again
in better quality.

You can watch the sequel here here, there are like 4 parts on zshare. its very interesting
The first part is about Charles Cosby, the black guy, he just tells about how he got into drug dealing. He was actually a fan of Griselda and first heard of her when she was arrested. He wrote her a letter and later visited her at jail. They became lovers and she hooked him up.

Her youngest son claims she is a Christian now, who knows if that is true. Two of her sons are dead but her youngest son is still alive and living in Miami and owns a record label.

Here is an interview with Griselda's youngest son:

No one else heard of her?

Sly 08-16-2008 05:33 PM

Her Wiki doesn't say it but I'm wondering if she was tied into the Medellin Cartel. My bet says yes... they were very powerful in their day.

There are actually quite a few prominent gang lords throughout history that were women. Some of the fiercest. There was a black woman in Harlem in the early 1900s that ran numbers that had extreme power.

She knew Pablo Escobar, I watched her documentary and they said he used to visit her mansion in Miami and even used to rub the statue of herself in the foyer whenever he visited for good luck.

I think the Medellin cartel was her drug connection. A lot of articles online say she trafficked for them and her first husband (whom she killed) was a trafficker for them.

An excerpt from an article from the Washington Post :

"Even in that milieu, the Trujillo-Blanco brothers stood apart. They were from the supply side of the cocaine world, sons of Griselda Blanco, a leader of a large organization affiliated with the Medellin drug cartel, the original Colombian cocaine-exporting group based in the city of Medellin. They would become Edmond's new Colombian cocaine connection, a replacement for his suppliers from the Cali cartel -- a second, upstart cocaine-exporting group that he had helped make a major competitor of the Medellin group in this country."

From
http://www.askmen.com/top_10/enterta...p_10_list.html

As the undisputed “Cocaine Queen of Miami,” the brutal, ruthless and probably psychotic Blanco proved a highly effective trafficker for the Medellin Cartel, amassing a personal fortune estimated at $500 million.

Griselda Blanco was the biggest though, she was worth over a billion. I don't think any other woman topped her wealth.

You must be talking about Madame St. Claire. Legendary for running numbers around the time of Dutch Schultz.

I just read about her on wikipedia. I still think Griselda is the baddest cause she was worth the most money. 1 billion is pretty damn good. A lot of men traffickers can't even compete on that level, and she beat them all, plus she's still alive. She won.
