I used to live in Marco Island, and I talked to some people there and they are just putting up shutters and staying inside. Only supose to get 60mph winds, not that big of a deal.

stop the madness. Ive been here for 4 years and been here with some really bad storms. This is just sun showers coming

I am kind of pissed knowing this. I have wanted to be in a minor one all my life. I would of stayed there an extra week or two for this.

I just move to Florida a month ago. This is my first storm. I'm first hurricane. I'm pretty excited and still way better than a blizzard with three feet of snow.

Sometimes there is something to be said for living somewhere that has boring weather.

I'm going to the Dominican tomorrow and I heard that got hit on Friday or Saturday I believe? Hope my two weeks vacation is ok :)

Some of those storms are really strong....I would be scaried too!

After wilma, katrina, jeane, francis, and charlie - this is just a thunderstorm.

I slept through Hurricane Andrew. I was in South Miami when it hit.

This is SO not a big deal. The great part is that we have all the warning and updates you could want. There is no suspense about these storms.
