Third Party counters
I have a new TGP that has no trades and is just using galleries from a database.
With no trades or submissions I don't need webmaster traffic. Right now there is no counter on my site, but I was wondering if using a counter such as sextracker, would it bring in extra hits? |
btw why do they call them third party counters? which are the first and second party counters...
|
The surfer, your website,
and the counter is the third party. The counter isn't internal, its another company showing you the stats. I don't care about the traffic stats, I'm just wondering if a listing on sextrackers toplist would bring in surfers to my site. |
Counters send werry or no traffic back to you'er site unless you have like a gazillion hits a day even then the returns are werry limited. Use a internal counter if you really need one. Or go with one off the pay counters. paycounter cashcounter or whetever they are called. Can't remember their names right now.

Displaying their counter makes you send 100's of hits to their pages full of advertisements, you will get back a few single hits.
I like the stats graphics, and I got some webmaster traffic out of it becouse I have got two sites in the global top 100. For you it does not make any sense to add a counter to your page ... |
A TGP accepting submissions and trades should use a counter. Webmasters look at the listings, but in my case I could care less if webmasters visit or not.
It looks like very few surfers visit the toplist. I kinda figured that was the case. |
