Other than photoshop which graphics program do you use?

For some reason I have used photoimpact for years. I know it isn't as powerful as photoshop, etc but I got into using it when I was learning and found it suited me and have pretty much stayed with it. What do you use?

I haven't used photoshop since 4.0 when I had a mac about 10 years ago... Ever since then I've been using the GIMP under Linux exclusively, even after getting into adult 4-5 years ago...

I use Illustrator now and then. I always wanted to learn to use more programs so I can make better designs but I never have time :(

I used ulead photo plus 4 for years! I had a (dodgy) copy of photoshop, and although I tried to learn it... Couldn't get my head round it...

Then, in about 2002 I bought a new laptop with photoshop elements on it..

I got used to elements, and then understood full PS...

Next year, I got a job doing graphics, and they paid for a full legit photoshop version, alongside all other stuff I may need, dream weaver fireworks Office etc... And I never looked back !

Photoimpact, good for resizing pics with a lower file size than PS :thumbsup

Cyndalie 08-21-2008 06:03 AM

Photoshop & Image Ready
the only ones I've ever needed.

Bojangles 08-21-2008 06:17 AM

I've used a ton of stuff. Photoshop just sticks with me, though.

Photoshop, ACDSee, and a bunch of custom plugins

Good to know that I am not the only Photoimpact user around.

I have photoshop on my desktop but I was thinking of getting gimp for my laptop but I'm dreading having to learn another new piece of software.

Malicious Biz 08-21-2008 09:15 AM

I've never tried any photo prog that even remotely stacks up against photoshop.

CaptainHowdy 08-21-2008 09:18 AM

Gimp :)!

HorseShit 08-21-2008 09:21 AM

paint shop pro 10

geedub 08-21-2008 09:37 AM

gimp is tight

baX 08-21-2008 09:39 AM

I do most of my work (resize, crop ...) in Fireworks MX. I only use Photoshop for some heavy graphics.

Sarah_Jayne 08-21-2008 11:10 AM

I have gimp but have never really used it. I guess once you are used to one program it is hard to convince yourself to try something else.

nicanor14 08-21-2008 11:47 AM

I am really into photoshop and illustrator

Tickler 08-21-2008 11:59 AM

I still mainly use Corel, which was the first graphics suite that I started with.

Slowly learning PS & Gimp.

halfpint 08-21-2008 02:26 PM

I use photoshop and serif photoplus

Elli 08-21-2008 02:28 PM

Photoshop and ACDsee for my batching. I'm trying to learn GIMP, but either I'm missing something or it's just not as capable as PS.

candyflip 08-21-2008 03:27 PM

I use the Adobe Creative suite. Everything is there, so no need to use anything else.

flowereater 08-21-2008 04:08 PM

mostly photoshop
