My dog is strange ......

I have gotten her so many toys and she has nothing to do with them but when I pull out an empty box from a 12 pack of soda she loves it. She can have it shredded and all over my living room in 10 mins. I don't care about the boxes but boy does it make a mess. Does anyones dog like the boxes as much as mine does?

:Oh crap

DatingGameExpert 08-22-2008 03:42 AM

Get her a fleshlight. Oh wait..

munki 08-22-2008 03:46 AM

Whatever keeps 'em happy.

Our pups think Oranges are the greatest things ever to use as a ball substitute. It's hillarious watching them fight over em squirting each other with Orange Juice.

this thread rocks......... but we need pics people!!!!

spunkmister 08-22-2008 05:32 AM

mine has a thing about tissue and tissue boxes, if I leave one near his reach and leave the house its like it snowed inside when I get back. Easy to clean up and its a cheap item so never annoyed. Just funny how out of everything in the house he goes after the lone tissue box at the back of the table.

tranza 08-22-2008 05:39 AM

Hahaha...at least she likes something, so let her happy!

I have a little female who weighs under 10 lbs, and loves to bring in rocks to chew on from outside. She is tiny, and its hard to even tell she has rocks in her mouth when she comes inside. But we find her chewing on them. :1orglaugh

here she is excited about a ripped up ball in the yard...

http://www.cherrylula.com/pics/penny-1.jpg

I am always trying to get a good perspective shot so you can tell how small she is, but haven't quite gotten any good ones yet.

She is a miniature pinscher... we have a male we got in Cali and he is oversized for the breed, bought a female here in Louisiana and she is almost too small per the breed standards. So what you have is two dogs same miniature breed, yet one can almost stand underneath the other. But they are a happy dog couple.

My 8 year old male was neutered at 5 months old, and I still have caught him trying to hump her when she was in heat. Can't stop dog love with a scalpel. :1orglaugh

TurboAngel 08-22-2008 07:00 AM

Awww that's a great pic.

pornguy 08-22-2008 07:08 AM

My dog will attack anything that moves, so since the wind here is always blowing, taking her for a walk is a major pain.

She is scared to death of my son though.

Pete-KT 08-22-2008 07:35 AM

I think your dog is trying to tell you STOP buying toys, I want the recycable box :)

that sounds terrible, my dogs bark at everything too, its a real nuisance because the breed is like super protective mini guard dog.

mona 08-22-2008 07:52 AM

Yeah, it's a pain when you buy the coolest cat jungle gym on the block and NOTHING! Sofa works fine as a scratching post and plastic grocery bags are just fine for entertainment!

Our dog has a box full of toys which he does play with, but if anything comes through the letter box he wants to rip it up, My daughter left a £10 note on our couch and when we came back the note was all chewed up For some reason our dog also loves to chew and rip up any paper or cardboard that he can get hold of.

sniperwolf 08-22-2008 10:19 AM

My dog used to play with the empty boxes too. Perhaps they just love boxes.

I forgot to mention my dog is 28" tall and eats non stop, everything and anything.
It is the biggest baby i have ever owned, its scared of everything.
Even stupid things like a tape measure??

It also has a habbit of sitting on my knee or on the end of a chair like a human would.

TubeTitans_SusieQ 08-22-2008 10:34 AM

my dog loves sticks , anything he can play fetch with, and he dives into the deep end all the way to the bottom of the pool to get it.

Holly 08-22-2008 11:00 AM

Multiple times per day, my beagle checks the waste basket in all four bathrooms for the little cardboard roll that goes inside toilet paper. Whenever she finds one she acts like she's hit the lotto. She comes running through the house throwing it around and chasing it.

ItalianVixen 08-22-2008 11:02 AM

We have 2 dogs. Bella the boxer and Physco the Chihuahua. They get along great. They wrestle around the house and Physco will latch on to the Bella's ear. Then when he shows teeth to Bella, she freaks out a little and then goes back for more. LOL Here they are resting after wrestling.

I have a bengal (Blurr)that tortures my dane/lab (Norse) Blurr actually waits till Norse falls asleep and gets as close as he can and meows as loud as he can to wake Norse up, Then runs up stairs Norse chases Blurr but can't of course fit under the bed so Norse whines and barks for 5 min's get bored comes back down stairs and falls asleep then it starts all over again. Who needs cat and dog toys they work as each other,

We also have 4 4 week old rescued kittens and Norse thinks the are the greatest thing in the whole world he cleans them and doesn't really like the cats near them, the kittens are all his and gets mad when we don't let him play with them.
Its really funny to watch a 120lb Dog clean a 1/2 pound kitten

I have a young pug who still loves to play with toys. However, he also loves to pull the stuffing out of the couch, rip papers and boxes to shreds, eat kleenex, and chew up rocks. All the dogs in the house think they've hit the jackpot when they find little crab-apples from the tree outside. Ice cubes are always a hit with my big lab/sheperd cross. She eats just about anything, with the exception of dog poop. Yes, only dog poop.

A friend of mine had a dog and a cat growing up and whenever there was a thunderstorm the dog would get scared and hide in the corner trembling. He was a very big dog (can't remember the breed...it's been years) and during the thunderstorm the cat would sleep on his head all night long without moving until the dog wasn't scared anymore.

It's crazy how much animals can bond with each other especially when they grow up together.

I rescued the chihuahua from the pound a week before I rescued the boxer from a couple moving out of state. They have been with us for about 4 months now. They act like they have known each other for years!

The strangest thing my dog ever chewed up were smoke bombs. I came home and there was neon pink on the carpet and her mouth was pink! The vet made me feed her Ipecac so she threw up. Was great! :(

My white dog is playing with anything he sees , he is pretty cute when is teasing the cats , but the black one , I just saved her from a shelter, will not give a shit on anything, I have no idea how to entertain her , she wants only love.
