People starting SEO threads, do me a favor

STFU already. This is the last place you'd "give away" any SEO best practices.

If you really want to lick each other's balls, head to some supposed "SEO" speciality forums where you can circle jerk with all the other clueless morons.

People who REALLY know SEO don't ever talk about it in forums, unless they are private.

Why would you want to give away your knowledge to a bunch of people that will only just go ahead and use the knowledge to create more competition for yourself?

I can't think of a worse forum on the planet to shoot yourself in the foot.

So, in summary, people who start SEO threads in here are clueless.

:1orglaugh

ps. you know who you are.

Tempest 08-31-2008 05:51 PM

Or they're trying to spread misinformation for the newbs..

CunningStunt 08-31-2008 05:51 PM

Hahahaha they took note.

fatfoo 08-31-2008 06:02 PM

misinformation indeed

Iron Fist 08-31-2008 06:07 PM

But there is no such thing as negative inbound links!

Mr. Mojo Risin 08-31-2008 06:13 PM

seo is all about creating link bait my creating good content now. There aren't many "tricks" anymore that really help much.

I agree wholeheartedly.

All these fucking asshats who think you are just going to show your ranking sites, and terms so they can go 'view source' and try and figure it out with the oldest, weakest, jedi mind trick every are clueless noobs.

Fucking drives you nuts.

They think they can call you a poser, or say you are full of shit and try and get you to show them something. At the end of the day, you/we know what we do and do not have.

We are not the one's begging for scraps on a message board, or looking for SEO e-penis.

I will have to agree.

mynameisjim 08-31-2008 07:19 PM

Oh, the irony.

notoldschool 08-31-2008 07:22 PM

I agree as well, but most on this board dont know shit about seo including almost every proggie owner who is a regular post whore.

mynameisjim 08-31-2008 07:39 PM

The reason real SEO people don't post information is because the very concept that there are "secrets" is what keeps them in business. It's the constant guessing that keeps the competition low. There are no secrets, it's all just knowledge. Just like there are no secrets on how to fix a car, it's just knowledge of how to do so.

But as long as people keep thinking there are secret techniques, they never follow through with a long term game plan and bounce back and forth from trick to trick thinking that "this time" they will succeed. They grow impatient and think because their traffic hasn't increased after the latest trick, that they must be on the wrong track and try something else.

99% of what you need to know to build a healthy amount of SE traffic is already public.

Shut up. If you do not belong to 5 invite only SEO forums and pay a membership to at least 2-3 more SEO sites that teach you the latest ways to perform a baby sacrifice you never will understand the true magic.

Also very true.

The sad part to the online business is this. Most of the 'tools' to be successful in this industry, mainstream or adult, are already out there. If you want to be successful. You go to all the boards and resource sites and read, and read and read. You do trial and error for a year, and in time you will have it.

This shit is not rocket science. If you commit 100%, read, and trial. You will make money.

Unfortunately, or fortunately for us still in this game, 90% of the noobs are lazy. Looking for short cuts, think old schoolers are going to hold their hand and show them the way after they learned the hard way. Also thinking you can buy traffic, and that will be better than building your own.

Or my personal favorite,... learning how to actually fucking SELL SOMETHING (i.e. conversions).

baby sacrifice? :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:thumbsup

Miguel T 08-31-2008 07:49 PM

They are simply lying to the noobs.

After Shock Media 08-31-2008 07:51 PM

I will share the real secret.

Read carefully as it is very complex and very easy to screw up.

Pick something, any one thing and keep putting in actual work full time until it is making you the money you want from it. Then think about something else if you wish.

lol. I'm using that as my mantra and charging 10K per day now for "SEO secrets" - I might even throw a few "black hat" comments in there to get dicks hard and pussies wet in the process.

I don't go to any seo forums or sites either, as someone said, 99% of the information is out there, the rest you learn or fall by the wayside.

I make about 80% of my income from SE traffic... But I wouldn't call myself an SEO.

What is this bullshit? STFU, really..

"I don't go to any seo forums or sites either, as someone said, 99% of the information is out there, the rest you learn or fall by the wayside."

As if you just started doing SEO one day. Hey look, some html, oh'look body text and desc tag, wow - instant on targeted backlinks. Insto adapt to every se change! Wow - I'm a god and figure this all out of my own without ever reading anything.

Do you have a 12 foot crack pipe or something?

And plenty of BH forums running around with killer info and details. Info that you aren't going to just pickup and learn on your own. Having the minds of 100's of other highly skilled, niched skilled, webmasters all trying to help each other learn, is totally kick ass and worth it.

For the record, I'm not an SEO god, I do not dedicate myself to Search Engines. I'm more of a backdoor traffic guy, which just happens to be based around the SE's.

whats amazing is this. on mainstream boards, this type of information is given out on a daily basis. however, on gfy there is a huge void.

if you read gfy you will think that seo is some mysterious skill some poeple have, and perhaps thats because adult seo is more competitive. but then on the flip side, many on the mainstream end write articles about that stuff to get webmastertraffic, ie myseoblog.net

When i put my mind to learn more about seo, just a short time ago, and spent weeks scouring mainstream boards for information, the concept was broken down very simply for me.

Google and the other SEs are trying to provide relevant results for their users and if you use tactics that appear to align with that, it will work better then otherwise. and once too many people try to take advantage of a perceived weakness (ie google cutting pr rank from directories, or adding no-follow because of blogs), google will fix it

and with google having info from analytics and the toolbar, and soon a browser, they will have more information to get their users to the best results

and im the kind of person, if i see something thats interesting, have a tendency to pass it on, just like how i had acquired it. let me say that using info on the boards, i was able to get some top spots in google for semi-competive keywords, and very proud of this.
