If Obama loses to McCain ...

Maybe the Democrats can find a gay Mexican to run for 2012?

I have seriously considered moving out of the USA if another republican ends up in office. And I'm not joking at all. I just can't do another 4 years like the past 8. Makes me sick.

Everyone bitches because Obama is black and the Dems are stupid. You are forgetting he has brought record numbers into the Democratic Party, had record numbers actually show up to vote, raises more money than anyone in history and runs the best campaign in history.

Who the fuck would you suggest instead?

stickyfingerz 09-01-2008 11:50 AM

There are tons of good Dems that both sides would feel comfortable with. Frankly its hard to even find people that want to run for office lately. Why? Maybe because EVERYONE has dirt in their past and they don't want it drug out onto nightly news.

OMG someones teenage daughter had sex, and had a mistake. OMG! Take them off the ticket.

OMG someone when to a church and the Pastor has said things in the past that reflect badly on them.

OMG someones husband got a DUI when he was barely old enough to drink OMG.

OMG someone had ties to the muslim religion. OMG

HOW THE FUCK do people expect us to get smart candidates? A SMART person would not run for office. A SMART person is much more likely to be a happy in a job where they can make much more without have the public scrutiny on them.

Its amazing people can't figure out why we can't get good people to run. DUH!!

The people running are human, humans make mistakes. I wouldn't want someone that is a robot and led a perfect life anyways, cause they would not have any good life experiences to draw on for their decisions. :2 cents:

Im looking at other places also to tell you the truth because I think if mccain and church lady get in our industry is going to be in big trouble. The bush admin set up the ground work they can just run with it. I love what I do too much to give it up for asshole politicians.

Couldn't agree with you more. I just hope America gets smart and votes for change. Its crazy still how many people I talk to say they are going to vote for McCain. When I ask why, its usually about money. They like higher taxes for middle class and less taxes for business owners. The thing that drives me nuts is that they don't realize if middle class had more tax relief, they would have more money to spend on these business' that the upper class run.

Simple economics 101. Something that Obama and many supporters dont understand. If you tax "the rich" and "big business" those taxes are passed onto the people buying their goods.

Like Obamas plan to tax oil companies then give $1,000 to the tax payers. What fucking planet does he live on? That would cause the price of gas to skyrocket.

Please, you're the epitome of gluttonous Americans. Where you going to go? Canada or the EU, if you can get in? You're willing to pay more taxes and more for everything else, too? Maybe a third world country like Costa Rica? You know they don't have drive up bank tellers or Krispy Kreme there, right?

Your ass isn't going anywhere. :2 cents:

Even the most diehard Republican nutjobs admit Obama has run the best campaign in history. Too bad there isn't a school for critical thinking skills, you need some learnin'.

If Obama loses to McCain I will take my Canadian Dollars and buy California, wait its already worthless.

That may be true, but there are way more middle class than upper class/big business. You tax the middle class and the majority of the population has less money which means the spend less. That costs big business more money than a preposed tax on big business. You can't make money when people stop spending their money.

Not to mention that most big business' have money. So when they get taxed they have the money to pay for it and can still operate their business. When middle class gets taxed, most don't have the money and can't afford it. Why do you think 5/10 middle class people are in debt.

In my opinion, its better to tax the people that have the money than to tax the people that don't. And just so you know, as a business owner making better money than most middle class, I'm totally ok with paying more taxes if it means improving the middle class economy. I can afford it.

Same thing that happens every 4 years. Democrats are great at getting people to register, they just aren't very good at getting people to vote.

Except they did vote, in record numbers. This is from not one but two Democratic candidates. I guess you think all those that got off their ass and voted in the primaries will just skip the general?

I absolutely think many of those that voted in the primaries will skip the general. At least half of them.

The only reason the primaries had so many turn out was due to the fact that half of them wanted Clinton and the other half wanted Obama. Now that half have been alienated, they will not vote.

If I am wrong, then you have nothing to worry about, right?

Mind you when the companies that made the voting machines were owned by Republicans and counted every 2-3 Democrat votes as one, its rather hard to win with the deck stacked against you. :Oh crap

I was never worried. If McCain wins I will honestly be shocked and dumbfounded. I do think a ridiculous number of Democrats will show up to vote this year and I even think the Ron Paul fanatics will wake up and realize that the choice is now McCain or Obama. Well, all of them except for his crazy ass racist conspiracy theory followers, they will probably write in an alien.

Do you own Alcoa stock?

Mr. Blue 09-01-2008 01:04 PM

As an independent...I keep voting for Nader because the Dems and Reps can't put up anyone that I want to vote for and they really did it again. This dominant two party system is where America is going wrong. Dems and Reps, both care more about their party than America.
