Relaxing music?

Anyone can reccomend relaxing music which can be played during work and it's not new age ?

AssPirate 09-02-2008 10:27 AM

I like Chicane and Mirwais. They're usually electronic music. If you prefer a little more sophisticated sound, try the first album of Tricky.

Baroque era classical

I prefer "Supersexy Swingin' Sounds", by White Zombie.... helps me coast right through my day...

The Rockabye Baby series is pretty cool. We've got the entire collection and my girl and I enjoy it more than the baby. These are some of our favorites:

reggae for sure.... culture, peter tosh, black uhuru... just grab some reggae albums from the 70s and 80s... i been listening to reggae since not so long ago and it seems to me the 70s amd 80s just sound the best.. reggae experts correct me if im wrong ;)

di.fm is nice... if you have a sirius subscription you can listen to the "chill" station from their site -- they've got some really nice music.

It really depends on what mood I am in. I really like a mix of different stuff so even on just an ordinary day I will have a mix on of everything from Al Green and Otis Reading to Pat Benatar and Abba, 3 days grace and Breaking Benjamin.

If I am in a pissy or rushed mood listening to Static X or Slipnot is relaxing for me! :winkwink:

excellent suggestion, I would also suggest checking out http://www.insoulwetrust.com/ for soulful funky house, its owned by Dj Nick Alvarado aka Nic Nax.

http://www.upfrontradio.com/ - UK Garage/2 Step from the UK
http://www.undergroundhouse.net - Tons of mixes from well known house djs
http://www.blentwell.com/ - links to downloads for several different electronic genres

Seconding Chicane; also, if you can find any old Windham Hill collection CDs, they're pure elevator music.

fatfoo 09-02-2008 06:11 PM

classical , why not

shwsrvcs 09-02-2008 07:06 PM

I go with Pandora. Then adjust my station to whatever mood I'm in at the time. Right now it's the Devo Station.

Past 5 songs have been

Invisible Sun - Police
Love My Way - Psychedelic Furs
Give me Back My Man - B-52s
Turning Japanese - the Vapors
Just Another Day - Oingo Boingo

you can make a station for whatever mood that your in.
