So its Sep 2nd and where is the heck google chrome browser?

Oh good.

This is going to be gloriously awful. I've stood behind several things Google did, but they have no reason to create a browser, and their simplified cartoon architecture says one thing to me: Trouble. Nothing like yet another half-assed homegrown implementation - even if it is by some highly intelligent people.

They had a download page up for a few minutes on accident, but it was pulled and removed from the cache pretty quickly.

actually if the separate processes thing holds true, and is truly open source, this could be a very good thing.

Pretty nice at the first sight

first impression: browser loads faster, pages do not, especially pictures seem to load slower or get half loaded...

Pages are loading really fast. I'm just at a loss without all great extensions that Firefox brings to the table.

well, im liking it, looks like FF killer to me

pages load faster in IE 8 Beta 2. try this remove google toolbar and load any page it'll load just as fast as chrome. it's those toolbars that slow loading down cause they're sending data back and fourth

Not unless/until they get the same or more add ons as Firefox. Right now, Firefox is a good browser, but it's all the user added functionality that puts it above the rest.
Chrome has the potential to do the same, but until then, Firefox won't be going anywhere.
