Yes, I meant to say "friends". When they contact to complain (and many do) it is always a friend that had trouble signing up to a site or something like that.

What kind of volume of sales are these kind of fraudsters sending these days? Is it totally obvicious like 100 sales a day from a shithole site or what numbers are we talking?

for us it's always small numbers like 3 -4 sales/day but the ratio is like 1:1

How the scam works: Set up a site selling wigits for $29.99, Collect C/C customer info
Buy porn memberships, ect.
Customers see billing and think it's for the wigits they ordered and don't do a charge back for a few weeks.

you buy a batch of CC from guys that hack DBs of small internet stores or big one, and you run it through as fast as you can hoping you get paid before fraud warning comes to the bank.
I had my credit card charged 4500 in India before I knew it. I was traveling in Asia at that time.

My friend was in Fotraleza (sp) 2 years ago and used her corporate card once.. when she came back to the US and tried to rent a cab in the airport card was maxed out. they rang up 27 000 on it. 27K!! Cloned the fucking thing...
