Wow J, that is so cool... I LOVE to fly... the smaller the plane, the better! I finally start my flying lessons this spring and can't wait to get started.

Am I'm the only one who's scared as shit of small planes? I went up in a Cesna that was older than me and the wind was bouncing us up and down and other planes were flying all over the place seeming like they were going to hit us and that Leaded gas was exhausting into the wing vents and into my face.... first and last time.

I have two really close friends that are Pilots, one is now flying really big Jets around the world.

I remember one time we went to San Diego, my other friend has his own plane and they let me fly it along the coast all the way there. The plane looked brand new. I was having fun with it all the way there...Until I popped out that one stupid question. What year is this plane I asked..I wast thinking 98'99' something in the 90's even. He said 1967. He said no worries, everything has been changed and update...All I kept thinking about is driving an old beat up salvaged car. We all know what those go through. I said land this bitch now. I shitted bricks knowing how old that thing was.

Then again, when we fly in commercial planes that still have ashtrays glued shut. :Oh crap

Dave, in order for a plane of that age to keep flying it has to be kept up as far as maintenace. The engine the prop etc has to be serviced or rebuilt after so many flying hours. There are people who love older vintage planes, its akin to owning a vintage car:thumbsup

Yeah, my friends trust their planes more than they trust their wives.
They give me the same story. :1orglaugh
