IKE cat 4 headed to south FL..
 

Looks like IKE the second storm back is headed right at south Florida and it's already a category 4. Considering the other storm Hanna will be likely brushing by the coast it's probably a good time to start getting ready. Just a FYI for those in Florida..

If it's going to be a 2 or less we will probably stay, but a 3 or more would mean too much time with no internet. (we have a generator, so power isn't the issue).

Hurricanes don't scare me so much as the fact that you can't go anywhere with the trees blown down and if you run out of DVDs there's nothing to watch, but the biggest issue is when the ISPs are down and I can't work.

I was following all the storms when I was on the Dominican. We just missed Gustav, but Hanna and Ike gave us some rain. Hope all you guys in Florida are safe.

You too, but don't think we will get hit too hard if it stays on the current path. We will likely get a lot of rain and strong winds but South Fl with take a good hit if it's stays a cat 4.

I woke up this moring to the rain and wind of Hanna, was amazed it moved so fast, it's just south of us now, but just a tropical storm.

It seems to be one thing after another out there...

well looks like they have updated the path and it's now going to go under Florida into the Gulf.. Would suck for the N.O. people if it keeps going that direction and they get hit again.
