Hilarious Business Sign From My Neighborhood
 

I live in Manila, in an area that is far from the nearest tourist, or any other foreigners for that matter. There are lots of amusing signs all over the place...I took this pic a few days ago:

Hahaha No, it's a funny sign because here in Manila, where they experienced their own "holocaust" during WW2, German Nazi imagery does not have the same impact. Therefore, a cartoon-ish "Nazi" image is no big deal here.

Actually, I do see it every day...it's right on the jeepney ride to the subway train that I take every morning and every night.

This one is actually a Winnie the Pooh reference.

Pooh Sticks is what they called the game they played with little stick boats that they raced in the creek.

Strangely enough it is also the name my daughter and I used for the kindling sticks we used to start up the fireplace. :1orglaugh

I have a ton of pictures of great signs from New Orleans. I always take pictures of signs that catch my eye for one reason or the other. If I find some of the really good ones I will have to post them.

Well, I'm aware of what "Pooh sticks" are...it's funny to see that name used for food served on a stick, though. And trust me...eating street food on a stick here is, well...not the safest food to eat. So calling it "pooh sticks" is almost like "truth in advertising"
