BROS & Shows

For those who attend the trade shows. Whether regularly, or only a few times a year...

Do you have your NWA (or whatever carrier you use) frequent flyer program? The credit card as well? What about the Starwood Preferred for your hotels? You rack up the double points at most of the places shows are held.

Any other cards, benefits, discounts you have on top of those?

Chasing those rewards can often cost more than they are worth. I fly whatever discount airlines like Southwest or whoever that flies to the location I am trying to get to. I stay at the hotels that the shows are held at which are not part of the same hotel chain. It's too difficult to try to collect reward points.

For me, NWA (straight outta compton) is typically the cheapest. I have shopped them a good dozen times easily.

I have their business credit card, so I get points from that. Plus World, and BizPerks. I have that Starwood card. Most of the shows are held at participating hotels. But when I am just on normal vacation, I tend to stay in those same chains. Even when I shop on Travelocity.

I have rewards accounts for all of the airlines I use and I use Amex for every purchase. Amex has a great rewards system & it works in conjunction with many airlines points systems.

Same here.

For 90% of my purchases on travel, computers, business, utilities, etc. I use business card. All that shit gets me points or whatever.

I pay it off through the month so no major interest or whatever. That way I carry mainly two cards, and leave the rest at home. For me, it's nice and convenient.

When I have priced out different flights, Delta is almost ALWAYS the most expensive. I do not know how they stay in business. Maybe from where I am it is just not a preferred carrier.

I mean, more expensive by a couple of hundred dollars almost every time.

They have a major hub here in NY so they got like flghts leaving practiclly evry hour or so to every major location in the US... with so many flights they arent filling em up n such so you can get a good price :)

Ah that's probably it. I think Detroit is the NWA hub. I normally fly G.R. to Detroit, or G.R. to Minn to catch connecting flights. HATE O'hare. So avoid it at all costs.

Yeah, I normally pop a Xanex.

I do not take it anymore daily. But still take it when I travel.

Yep. Always a fucking madhouse, and most of the times I have caught flights in and out of O'hare they are late, delayed, canceled, and so on. The place is just insane.

Flying NWA,.. it's less expensive for me. I catch the connecting flights at Detroit, or Minneapolis, and do not really mind either of those airports.

I was once flying to London from LAX, and I decided to take a couple of sleeping pills...

Bad Plan!

Instead of sleeping thru the flight, I just monged out, and then about 7 hours in, I needed a piss...

Couldnt get up from the seat due to the drugs, and nearly pissed my pants !!!
