Are they running out of gas where you live?

Florida and Georgia running out of gas...

i just filled up and all they had was premium left and they said they only had about another hours worth..

people backed up in lines because other places were already out...

also, they have no idea when they will be getting more gas...

L-Pink 09-12-2008 03:03 PM

Yea, idiots willing to wait in line to maybe save a few bucks are adding an unusual demand, a false demand, that is causing shortages here in Kentucky.

i was low on gas, so i had no choice, but my friend who own the gas station by my house said that gas prices are going back up even after the storm passes...

I was referring to those topping off tanks which in turn creates an artificial shortage.

.

Barefootsies 09-12-2008 09:37 PM

Yeah, the gf said something about gas being $5+ the next town over. People lined up at all the stations. People blaming the hurricane, gas shortage, blah blah blah.

Glad I can drive a week to 10 days on 1 tank of gas.

:thumbsup

Turboface 09-12-2008 09:44 PM

TurboAngel was telling me that she saw people going crazy at the pumps today, some people with gascans filling them up - and we aren't that close to where the shit is going down, at all.

Crazyness.

klaze 09-12-2008 09:48 PM

Well I hope Toronto isn't feeling this shortage because my tank is on empty :P

Shoehorn! 09-12-2008 10:15 PM

I've heard that they're running out back home in Michigan, but here in Hawaii everything seems normal. Gas even went down earlier in the week.

But who knows, we might be out soon.

baddog 09-14-2008 02:42 PM

Premium has dropped over $.20/gal in last few days.

born2blog 09-14-2008 02:43 PM

boggles me how there can be a shortage of gas anywhere?!?

ztik 09-14-2008 02:46 PM

Its 3.40 something here

no shortages

if you follow crude you should know its going to get lower and lower

prices are artificially inflated right now in some locations because of the hype from news

Natural disaster or looming one. People want to feel safe so they fill up all of their vehicles as well as get gas for generators and everything else. Gas trucks are not driving towards a storm and deliveries are not done. Certain pipelines need to be shut down as a precaution as the storm approaches.

Then well the gas stations start to run out of gas, first the cheap stuff then everything else. Same can be said of supplies in the store like bottled water and stuff.

Where do you come up with this stuff? I was just sitting here watching a tape of Obama [a few months ago] saying that it would be 7 years before we saw it.

Of course, now he is in favor of offshore drilling.
