Am i the only one that feels the shame?

A United Nations human rights team has found ?convincing evidence? that 90 civilians ? among them 60 children ? were killed in airstrikes on a village in western Afghanistan on Friday, according to the United Nations mission in Kabul.

Mohammad Iqbal Safi, the head of the parliamentary defense committee and a member of the government commission, said the 60 children were 3 months old to 16 years old, all killed as they slept. ?It was a heartbreaking scene,? he said.

Can anyone imagine the outrage if an Afghan or Iraqi killed 60 western children? It would be the biggest story in years

I didn't think we could stoop any lower, but this is just absolutley shameful.:(

cherrylula 09-13-2008 08:10 AM

so much for "no child left behind," huh.

d-null 09-13-2008 08:12 AM

war sucks

really, when nations are engaging in war, the first 15 minutes of all tv news programs should be news and footage from the war, it is most shameful of all that you hardly see any coverage of the realities of warfare but instead they are more concerned about Britney's bald head or Palin's retarded child etc etc

SexualDragon 09-13-2008 08:13 AM

that is just plain wrong

d-null 09-13-2008 08:25 AM

it is when we ignore and close our eyes that true evil can flourish

Michaelious 09-13-2008 08:25 AM

The shocking thing is it doesn't surprise me one bit

That is why people should make love not war!

When 2 countries have a disagreement they should all get together for a massive orgy.
the country left standing at the end wins!

Considering the source for this claim is the UN I doubt it is accurate. :2 cents:

Trust you to come in and say this and not even have a shread of sympathy for the CHILDREN killed in this disaster.

If it was 60 children from the UK or USA, you would be crying OMG EURABIA, OMG BARBARIANS.

Brushing every report that sheds the US or Israel in a bad light as "biased" or "not true" is fucking childish and rediculous. I find it really sad that someone can not find it in their heart to actually condemn their own country for killing 60 children, what a sad sad person you are. :disgust

crockett 09-13-2008 12:39 PM

The difference is Western soldiers wouldn't be hiding behind women and children and put them in harms way. If Pakistan was doing the job they agreed to do then the US wouldn't have to do it.

You want to bitch at someone bitch at Pakistan for taking money from the US to fight the Taliban on their side of the border and failing to do so. Is the UN going to do a report on the amount of Afghan civilians attacked and killed by the Taliban insurgents who cross the boarder and make attacks then run back to the safety of the boarder?

WarChild 09-13-2008 12:42 PM

60 less little terrorists.

xmas13 09-13-2008 12:42 PM

You don't even know what a Taliban is, don't use the word to appear intelligent. You are a fucking idiot.

marketsmart 09-13-2008 12:45 PM

LOL... people all up in arms about "60" children killed when 1000's are dying everyday in africa and no one says a word..

and to top that off, all you do is whine about it...

if it concerns you so much, then go do something about it, like donate money to a charity or volunteer your time...

What's the difference between a cocksucker from Florida and a poor villager from Afghanistan?

I will always side with villagers over some cocksucker filling his gas tank with blood money and selling cheap pornography.

People should be concerned about both, but they are 2 very different things.

One is preventable death based on inaction.
The other is directly killing people with weapons.

There are plenty of organizations attempting to help Africans. "No one says a word" is not accurate.

I can't believe we are sending young soldiers with families, to die for cocksuckers like you.

Americans dropped bombs, children died. It is as simple as that.

I have sympathy for any innocents that are killed in any conflict. Having said that I certainly don't trust reports form the UN which specializes in producing anti-American propaganda. I would also not blindly trust reports from the US military either as all reports from a war zone have an agenda. Since the agenda of the UN is to discredit the use of US military power then I assume their "report" was put together for that purpose.

As for my moral and spiritual condition I deeply appreciate your concern. :)

Mr Pheer 09-13-2008 01:37 PM

War sucks, huh?

I'm just glad its happening on thier soil, and not ours. Because I wouldnt want to trade one of our children for one thousand of thiers.

We didnt start this shit in Afghanistan. They had a chance to end it before it ever got to this point by just handing Bin Laden over, but they refused. I'm sure Osama thinks he dealt a great blow to our country, but look at all the lives it has cost the people in the middle east. But hey if you makes you feel better to blame the USA for it, then go ahead, I dont care. I dont think many other people care either.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 09-13-2008 01:39 PM

Maybe the parents of those children should not let Terrorists and criminals sleep with them in the same hut when Predator drones are buzzing around a war zone.

Who were the other 30 people and why were these other 30 people sleeping with children in the same hut?

If the terorist think sleeping with children will save them I guess they can think again and perhapsd the families of those children will learn not to let thier kid's hang out with terrorist fuck wads.

..........

interesting viewpoint

just remember, we are not on this earth for but a blink in the scope of the universe.... when the 1000 children die or when you die, what makes them any different from you?

consider ourselves lucky for where we were born or what lot we have now in life, but that will be over before very long when we die, and alot of what we have done with our very short time on earth may or may not matter

remember every child, no matter where it was born, is a person just like we are, with a mother that loves us and feelings inside, if you still think "tough luck for them" that is your choice, but I think there is alot of soulsearching that one needs to do... in my opinion, evil is when the mind separates the humanity from their selfish goals :2 cents:

It makes a lot of difference, Pakistan agreed to deal with the insurgents on their side of the boarder. They took money for military aid from the US to just do that. Pakistan instead does little to nothing about the insurgents who are crossing the border to kill NATO troops in Afghanistan, which include US troops as well as troops from many other NATO members.

If Pakistan won't live up to their side of the deal, then the US will do it for them. It's quite simple, if Pakistan won't stop the insurgents from crossing the boarder the US will.

It's sad innocent people get killed in war, but hey maybe they shouldn't let the insurgents stay in their homes.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/7614280.stm

"Five bombs have ripped through busy shopping areas of India's capital, Delhi, within minutes of each other, killing at least 20 people, police say.

The explosions, which also injured about 90 people, are not thought to have been very powerful but happened in crowded areas.

Four unexploded bombs were also found and defused, police said.

More than 400 people have died since October 2005 in bomb attacks on Indian cities such as Ahmedabad and Bangalore.

India has blamed Islamist militant groups for these previous bombings.
"

I can't say I have ever had the desire to do that even when I lived in the US. I have no problem telling people I am from the US, however. Sometimes when someone here finds out I am American they start to prattle on spouting some whiny Euro leftist agitprop but I usually just laugh in their face. :1orglaugh

I don't support this admin either and I sure don't support the war in Iraq, however the war in Afghan isn't the war in Iraq and I damn sure support the war in Afghanistan.

It was al Qaeda that attacked us on 9/11, it was al Qaeda who attacked the USS Cole, it was al Qaeda who attacked the two US embassy and it is them who support vast terrorist groups around the world.

It was al Qaeda whom was based in Afghanistan with the support of the Taliban who attacked us. Don't confuse the war in Iraq with the war in Afghanistan because they are two very different wars and it pisses me off that Bush let that war become pretty much forgotten about.

Afghanistan is part of the real war on terrorism and Pakistan is a major part of the problem. Pakistan just like Afghanistan has played both sides of the fence, pandering to the west for money and support while allowing the extremist to work inside their boarders doing little to stop them as to not upset them.

Al Qaeda and other extremist groups now work freely inside Pakistan just like they once did in Afghanistan. The difference is Pakistan has nuclear weapons which make it even a bigger threat to the rest of the world especially India.
