Del Inferno sauce.... why don't restaurants ever have REALLY hot sauce?

I admit it is an improvment at Del Taco.. the old Del Scorcho was ok, not that hot though but better than Taco Bell Fire. Now the new Del Inferno is better, but still not hot enough, why can't a restaurant make a really hot sauce available for those that want it?

oh well, congrats anyways to Del Taco for a step in the right direction :thumbsup

Del Taco debuts blazing hot Del Inferno
April 28th, 2008

Today, Southern California?s iconic taco chain, Del Taco, debuts its first new hot sauce in 15 years.

The blazing hot item is dubbed Del Inferno and is three times hotter than any hot sauces served at rival chains, Del Taco said. (Del Taco?s two other offerings are mild sauce and Del Scorcho.)

So, how does Del Taco know Inferno sizzles past its rivals?

The Mexican fast-food chain had Del Inferno tested against its competitors by Certified Laboratories. The New York-based food analysis company tested the competing sauces using the infamous Scoville scale, which measures the hotness or piquancy of a chili pepper.

Del Taco didn?t give the results, or list the names of the rival hot sauces that Del Inferno beat. But rest assured, Del Inferno is one hot mama, according to the chain?s marketing reps.

?There?s no doubt about it, Del Inferno will set your scalp ablaze,? said Mimi Somerman, chief marketing officer at Del Taco

Fast food is not a restaurant really. Though if you really want it I would just keep a bottle of what you like in your glove department. The shit never goes bad.

that's not a bad idea, there are some good habanero sauces out there, but I am skeptical about keeping it in the vehicle when the temperature is 100 degrees every day

Its made of vinegar, salt, and peppers.
Seriously what can go bad? Not to mention they often age the crap in huge bins for years at a time that are open air.

Worst case is it will loose a little moisture and get stronger.

There is a burrito place here that makes their own mango hot sauce. It's super tasty and damn hot for a restaurant. I'd guess around 100k scovilles. They'll only bring it if you ask for it by name.
