I've always been interested in visiting Brazil for an extended period. Where's a chill place a webmaster can live in Brazil? What are the ups and downs? What's the visa process like?

I live in Brazil, in Rio. Am a resident of Brazil. Also a photographer, but prefer not to mess with anything that could get me into trouble.

Brazil is nice, but the legal system is problematic, police like to shake people down.

I recommend to keep a low profile and do no business in Brazil. If you have to, get good legal counsel and a legal structure that takes care of things, with a Brazilian agency etc. I understand Mike in Brazil is doing that.

I know a Brazilian porn star that seems very knowledgeable, that already worked on both sides of the camera, if you need to know more.

I don't live in Brazil.

There are many great places to live in Brazil and I know plenty of webmasters from that country. I've visited several different parts on separate occasions. Legal porn is legal. I don't think you have much too worry about.
