GnR fans and GnR bandmates often give Axl a bad rap for wanting to take the music into new territory - adding violins, piano, etc. If he didn't push for that, we wouldn't have classics like November Rain, surely one of the best ballads in recent memory.

Although judging from the new GnR material, Axl has taken it too far lol.

A very good friend of mine has an actual Album from a band he had where he hired Axel to sing on it which he recorded years ago just before GnR formed with Axel on lead vocals .. he can't release the album yet because Axel has him tied up in piles of legal paperwork ..I saw all the play bills with pic of them all as kids .. lol .. I told him to "leak it" but he won't .. he want the possible $$ involved by actually doing a legal release ..

Great song. I recently heard an interview with Slash and he talked about how they fought a lot during the recording of the Use Your Illusion discs. He said, "The albums are the sound of a band breaking up." When you keep that in mind and go back to listen to them again, it really brings a new edge to a lot of the songs. Still, they are great records.

GNR still gotta love them, November Rain has to be one of the best videos ever! Id also love to know how slash doesn't ever end up burning his mop top with those ciggies that he has glued to his mouth constantly.

November Rain is one of my fav all-timers. Purple rain is another. Kinda rainy....
