Martial Law declared 9/27 before bailout on floor
 
Just watched this youtube video.. Apparently congressional martial law was declared prior to the bailout bill being put on the floor for voting.

There's others out there of reps stating they were threated with America being placed under military martial law if the bailout was not passed

According to the info on that youtube page, it says this

"Under the Martial Law procedure, longstanding House rules that require at least one day between the unveiling of significant legislation, and the House floor vote on that legislation — so that Members can learn what they are being asked to vote on — are swept away. Instead, under 'Martial Law,' the Leadership can file legislation with tens or hundreds of pages of fine print and move immediately to debate and votes on it, before Members of Congress, the media, or the public have an opportunity to understand what provisions have been altered or inserted into the legislation behind closed doors. This procedure diminishes democracy."

I couldn't quickly and easily find something to confirm this info.

You see why I mentioned the "rex 84" camps in a previous thread a couple of days ago? Also notice that neither the Mccain campaign or the Obama campaign has condemned the scare tactics. You still think it matters who you vote for?

Are you saying it wouldn't have mattered if 1-2k more people in a state of millions(florida) voted for gore or nader in 2000 it wouldn't have mattered? That election was decided by less than 1000 people.

I'm saying that the big issues: bailouts, wars etc., will happen no matter which administration is in charge. They're puppets... Only the little things will differ

last time i looked the economy hasn't been this bad in 60 years, gas is at its highest level ever, forclosures through the roof, debt is a huge problem, etc... whatever though keep busting out your tin foil hat pictures just because that dollar you have in your pocket is still worth half of what it used to be.

At the most basic level, a committee that had bankers and lobbyists on it and worked for the senate has 100% zero power to every possibly invoke martial law.

Think people, the guy is just being a prick on a Weekend that he didn't get to see a "rough draft of a draft" from Friday night and he didn't get to help make it. He wasn't part of the assigned committee, amazing, and he is pissed about it and has 1 minute to say anything he wants about anything and this was the gay ass topic he bitched about.
